Even people referred by an officer need to register/apply on the site. It keeps us connected across multiple games, access to voice chat and other means of communication, as well as forums and random silliness.

Over all it is a very small hoop to jump through to show you have some modicum of interest.

Ever since I've capped I'd been trying to get some pinks for myself and to sell. I can't even do that. Every time I complete a 3D mission I lose all sounds except background music. It's incredibly easy to die like this because I don't always watch my health and instead rely on attack sounds and my character wincing in pain to see that I'm taking damage. With those gone I have to force close and reboot the game to get them back. This is incredibly annoying.

I reported the bug. Until they fix this, I'll be scarcely on until July 24th. After that I'll just grit my teeth and bear it. But until then I have stuff going on that I need to be taking care of so I'll be on break. If they raise the cap before July 24th then I'll be back before then, though.
