Ping Bug - Increments 1000 per second up to 65000

There is this weird bug that occurs several times an hour for me, and it's the Ping.

What happens is this:
1) Suddenly no response...all freezes. Most of the time I can walk still.
2) Then, then Ping counter starts running upwards at a very steady pace of (it seems) EXACTLY 1000 per second. It can keep doing this till it reaches 65000 sometimes.
3) After it reaches this high ping, the game resumes.

My network of course is fine, and the very steady continues ping increase shows it has nothing to do with the ACTUAL ping. This is a bug of some sort.

Yeah, considering playing with 65000 ping would be incredibly hard.

I've had this happen twice. Both times it didn't last more than 10 seconds.

Most probably it just means you lost connection with the server. For example, if there were monsters around, you cant kill them. And most of the time when your ping gets back to normal, you will have been killed by whatever monsters were beside you.

This means there are network issues somewhere between you and the servers. Seeing the ping constantly rising means it still hasn't gotten a response to the previous sent request ; it stops rising when it gets the response, or disconnects you for not getting one for too long.

Connection loss sounds like a probable cause I suppose. Another problem I have is related then: half the time I try to logon to the game it fails. I have to close PL, open it again, then I can logon. Weird though, since I have no connection problems to anything else.

The login not working at first thing is an issue with iphone networking initialization - you can usually just wait 10 seconds or so and it will work. I believe this is fixed in the next app submission.

I've had the ping issue happen a few times but each time I was able to trace it back to a connectivity issue with the ISP. Not saying there may not be another problem, but mine has been non PL related each time.

I have this happen, but my ping reaches about 165,000 ping. This happens when I'm playing alien oasis, and I'm in the middle of a huge battle. I got very frustrated because I tryed beating level 2 on alien oasis 4 times, and everytime it disconnected on my iPod touch. :(

I also have lag since one week. its getting better but sometimes if i join or host a map the ping jumps up to 800,1000-3000. same happens sometimes in the middle of the map. leave or rejoin fix it most times. its annoying when you die cause server issues, my internet connection is still fine. Pls fix the issue !

I had the same problem multiple times. Ping does jump up about 1000 each second but it lasted for more than a whole minute I remember counting from 75000 up to 85000 and it just kept going that I lost track. But that was only the first time it happened. the rest only went up so high before ending. Not even reaching 65000 sometimes. Other times I had ping go up to 65000 and everything just disappeared and everyone left the game and then I was kicked from the game as well.
