View Full Version : Discusting Freaks... -_-

Has anyone else noticed how disgusting the players in pl have become? :-/ it's really gross... I was just hanging out in forest haven with some of my new newbie friends (new newbies FTW) when this random mage joins the town and starts spamming,"NY 1 WANT A GF!?!". I was about to tell her to stop spamming when two lv 50ish toons join the town and start cussing and talking about some VERY suggestive themes. I warned them to keep the language down, but they refused so I reported them both. Then (for some pointless reason) they started arguing over ages (they turned out to be 14 and 15) the fifteen y/o (the stupider of the two) thought he was better then the 14 y/o because he was older by a few months... -_- then they started talking about REALLY perverted stuff... :( I was so discusted I logged out and went on the forums to rant about it... -_- Another thing that really bugs me about this is that I am fourteen y/o and when I tell someone my age I'm pretty sure they stereotype me as some perverted juvenile with parents who didn't give enough spankings...

Okay thank you for reading this if you did XD I just needed to vent.

Personally I love rants like this. We don't get em enough. Apple you are dead on. It's almost like I wanna say the stuff they said for emphasis, but it's SO stinking wrong I would never ever repeat it. Idk what to do about it. Just keep being a cool dude, earn respect and people will listen to you. Of course that won't help in FH, but you get the idea.

Thanks for the post bro

My generation was the same way. And the one before that, same.

Kids act like kids. Some mature earlier than others, and some never mature.

If you notice, it's only the preteens/teenie boppers who we usually ever have problems with. They're in the phase where they want to be older than they really are, and as such they act like what they think adults act like.

In reality, the mature players are usually very well mannered and have discussions, not arguments, have conversations, not rage fests, and respect, not disrepect.

This doesn't apply to *all* teens though, just the vast majority of them, although I will admit that the forum teens are generally well behaved and more mature than their non forum counterparts.

Well newsflash, people given the opportunity will behave stupidly in any situation no matter how dire the consequences, it's just a stupid hand held game to them that they can use to lie about their lives and anything else they feel will make them seem or sound cooler, the sad part is 9 times out of 10 they make themselves look worse. I bet you anything if these kids parents could see the stuff they'd be digging their own graves, it's been like this a long time, it's one of the reasons i hang out with people who are high level and mature, high level means they care enough to put in the time to play, mature by the way they talk and act. I guess it just comes down to this, PL is like normal life, everyone's at a different point in it, some nicer or more mature and respective than others, but it comes down to who you hang out with for you and others to know what kind of person you are. I'm in 12th grade atm (a year ahead of my class thanks to homeschooling) and i find stuff like this annoying, but controllable, and avoidable. I guess just keep your head up and mute the jerks who act wrong, friend the ones who act right.

I suggest you edit your post now. I am not a pervert I am not at all disrespectful I am mature and yes, reporting does do something so don't tell Apple to Grow up. Please edit. Thank You, Elysony.

*raises eyebrow* I do not think of myself as a pervert.

I don't think anyone else I've ever met does, either. Please put the mile-wide stereotype brush down.

It upsets me when I'm on the bus, and old ladies won't make eye contact. They're probably afraid I'll mug them. My friends, we live in a world where teenagers are seen as scary people by others around them. All we can do is try to refute said view of us, despite those teenagers who do live up to the stereotype.

He meant it as a generalization. I don't why see you have to take offense to that. In fact, from what I've seen from Adidaman on the forums, he may also be a teenager, or even younger. Or at least, he acts like one.

Some teenagers are perverts, some aren't. Many people view the new generation of people in a condescending and generalizing way, because there ARE more teenagers who act badly, due to more freedom and technology. That is the real world.

This is from a teenager.

PS: Adidaman is known for his nature of at times, creating provoking and sometimes offensive posts.
(This is just from facts, Adidaman. It doesn't really bother me.)

I'm fairly sure that Adidaman is an adult, or at least a rather mature older teen based on his posts. Yes, some of his posts do stir up some conversation, though most of the time they are very well written and well mannered, but still quite controversial (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

As far as the generalization goes, that's why Ely/etc. are getting upset, because the generalization puts all those "good" teens with the "bad" ones without discrimination.

All people who's names start with 13 are utterly ridiculous

I hope you see what I did there

Yes, I see what you did there ;)

Yes, that's partly why I'm getting upset, but also partly because stereotypes about teenagers nowadays are sadly on the rise, and those of us who are "good" teenagers are annoyed at being lumped in with the stereotype!
