I was just saving up for a big luck vanity, and I was thinking if it can come back. Is it possible it will ?
EDIT: does the vanity actually give you better luck?

it gives you an 15% chance to reroll for better loot. IMO if i were you i would wait until the St. Patrick's day event, odds are there will be a Big Luck 2012 and it stands to reason it will be a bit cheaper than last years big luck.
Back to your main question, it will probably be making an appearance during the St. Patty's event on DotD, not real sure but it does make sense that it will. After the event i'm certain it will make an appearance again sometime.

Big luck will come in DotD in another few days I think... It will grant little luck if you wave at someone wearing big luck. Its just like valentines day but S.T Patrick...
It was dotd about a week ago wasn't it?
