DL Age Requirement

I tested some years out on the website, and in case anybody was wondering, you should be at least 17+ to play. Anyone younger than that, I know, it sucks :(

im pretty sure its going to be 15+ to be 100% honest GTA 4 is ma 15+ and is alot worse than DL could possibly be

Kind of. But many people put fake ages on profiles for games and sites, and coming on the forums and saying you're 14 is pretty stupid if you want to play the game. How many 14 year olds do you know that play call of duty? That's 17+

There is no official proof that it will be 17+. Samhayne told me in the chat box that the Android market, Apple store, Amazon market, etc. have to decide the age limit. So my guess is, it could be 17+ for the Apple store but 14+ on the Android market.

My two cents, are now in.


Edit: When you said you were on the website, were you referring to the video? Because the age limit on that was because of the content in the video ans had nothing to do with the game.

Again it's not about who is better than who, or that your parents let you play the game, but rather the law (in the U.S.) that they (STS) has to abide by.

If I have to deal with another thread with little kids trying to back up the lack of age limit with idiotic reasons, "oh I'm 14 and I still play COD" I will literally go sky diving with no parachute.

It's the damn law KIDS. Each platform has their own rating system, but if STS themselves find out that you're underage you'll get B-A-N-N-E-D. The site is rated 17+ because of all the content that is/will be on the site, not just the video. Just like with pl and SL, I'm sure that site would be used to buy plat too. I'm not getting anymore into this stupid argument than I did in that other mess of a thread.

I wouldnt even worry about it. We need to wait until the devs confirm the age requirement, but it is all Entirely up to "Apple". We still have time until the kindle fire exclusive starts, that wont be until later today if it does. The devs are just putting the final touches on it, as it said on facebook about 4 hours ago.

The world doesnt revolve around your life. Authorities dont care about the forumers, they have to abide by law. A forum poll means nothing. If you are playing games meant for 17+, you are irresponsible.

Playing maturely rated games maybe makes you the coolest kid in class, but you are being mentally exposed to content not suitable for your age. As you may have seen, many people voted 17+ in the forum poll, meaning SOME people are weary of children playing the game.

At this point in time, regarding Red as an idiot is unwise. I realise you feel pressured, but again, remember, you as an individual do NOT affect the outcome.

Well it won't be 12+ since that's impossible for any game with a chat system.

Sexual related themes would be closer to a 18+ depending on the rawness of it.

A 17+ game is one with mature tones, high violence, etc.

No the law requires that users be 13+ but the rating, that has no legal power, simply symbolizes the maturity level of the game, the content is 9+ but the online interaction isnt included
