Anyone ever been to a really busy trade show? You know how things go, you talk to a zillion people and then, Murphy's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy's_law) comes into effect. Someone has you on video when you say something that maybe you shouldn't have? Dates are silly like that.

The Spacetime Dev Team is cranking very hard to put the final touches and polish on Dark Legends. We will be announcing release details in the near future. We're just as excited to bring you the game as you are to get your hands on it!

Sam's post obviously states that it's not today and March 15th was a slip up and that it will come soon.
Release days are never set it stone. Remember that

Dont mind waiting if it means i get a relatively bug free and great looking game. All for delaying for period of time to give us a polished game versus some companies that just rush to meet a date and release a game that not only would have bugs, would also not even be finished or simply end a game well short of the original plan. As excited and impatient we are to get our hands on dark legends, i am even more excited that sts is taking the time to actually find and fix bugs and polish the game with tweaks to make it even better. This is a great commitment to give us a great product and i am looking forward to enjoying a great game.

Yes I know that release dates can never be set in stone, so don't give them. They had already generated a lot of interest by giving out teasers and a lose release of Q1, leave it at that. I don't blame Spacetime for the delays, we all know how Apple operate and that unforcen errors may come to lite. But I do blame them for their awful PR handling of the release of new products. Come on guys learn from your past mistakes.

That is actually the whole point of these games is for STS to make money from selling plat. Hence the reason why most game companies go FTP, because players end up spending, on average, more per month than they would spend on a subscription to a traditional MMO.
