The higher the level of map = higher xp. Pets level in all maps, even the ones that no longer give a player xp.

Any of these maps, but with each level cap in the world map descriptions your pet would keep getting​ XP upto 2-3 levels more I think. After that you would have to move to the next zone and so on. Besides this, if you are able to run kraag tombs or hauntlet, you could try those. Kraag tombs has a cap too, hauntlet has none.

Best map is faster fang swamp if you're at capped level with proper gear
1. It's easy to get major xp boost 100%
2. Easy kill whilst boost active.
3. Combine xp elixirs 60+50 and major xp boost = 210% boost xp to your pet

Once pet hit lv71 which is capped level for that map, your pet will start to level up slower
But if you want to level up for passive ability sale, that's the best map to quickly reach lv50 in no time

Yes. Xp elixir apply to both player and pet

I level pets in normal valley gates. Mobs are high level and you get a lot of them.
