Hello all,

I didn't see this on forums, so I figured I should post a guide on how to get the best possible FPS from your computer for Arcane Legends.

1. Make sure you use Mozilla Firefox, it has the best performance (even beating Chrome) for Arcane Legends

2. If you have a dedicated NVIDIA GPU -- IGNORE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NVIDIA GPU
You can right click on your Desktop and go to NVIDIA Control Panel. In there, go to Program Settings tab, as screenshot shows and make sure your browser uses High Performance Graphical Processor.
https://i.ibb.co/Pc1JHkR/image.png

3. Turn on Hardware Acceleration on Firefox
Use this guide to turn on Hardware Acceleration. Note, this guide shows you how to turn hardware acceleration off but the same steps apply to turn it on as well. Go to Option 2 on this link for instructions on how:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hardware-acceleration-and-windowblinds-crash

4. How do I see my FPS on Firefox?
Download this FPS counter, it will show in top left hand corner while you are playing games.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fpscounter/

Your performance, of course, matters on your PC specs but you should also know the best ways to extract maximum performance for the smoothest gameplay possible.

Even so, the game is not very demanding in requirements, I have never experienced a drop in fps ... but the advice does not hurt, you do not know when they can help you [emoji106]

The game is not demanding in requirements, but the in-efficiency of WebAssembly compared to NativeClient (which AL used to run on) means that the FPS has decreased since 2017. Now, it's actually pretty hard to run 60+ fps in a crowded zone or a zone with a lot of effects.

I do not know the information since I am not from the computer science area, but thanks for the explication.

I mostly get 60 in chrome.
Have seen videos of ppl playing on 120.
60 to 120 will be huge.

Nah, I just bought this laptop a month ago: ASUS Zephyrus M15

I'll buy another in a year or so, don't feel like dropping another $1.5k or so.

I know Futu said that's the cap, but my FPS reader reads more than 120. It's basically going to be dependent on your GPU. You're going to need a 2060 at least to get stable 120 fps. However, it will drop to 60ish fps in crowded zones.

I think we have the same PC specs. You have an MSI?

No, MSI makes a very similar built laptop but I wanted a magnesium chassis. This was the ASUS Zephrus M15 (not G15, didn't want the Ryzen chip as I wanted thunderbolt capability).

I could be wrong, but you cant simply post in the guide section. You have to post your guide here first and if you find it eligible to be moved into the guide section, you have to contact a mod/dev in order for them to review it and make the decision its worthy or not to be moved there.

Alternatively, you can use Rivatunics Statistics Server and lock frames on your Chrome to 60 fps.

Why would you want to lock frames to 60 fps? That would limit your FPS to 60, it doesn't mean that your FPS will be 60.

You really don't ever want to limit your fps to 60, as that just causes you to experience lag. Even if you have an op gaming pc and limit the frames to 60 it will still drop below 50 sometimes. I have a 60hz pc so my fps won't go above 60; while playing AL my frames drop to 40 50 sometimes like loading in a map then instantly go to 60. If you have 100+ frames a 10 - 20 frame rate drop isn't going to change anything.
To put in perspective my pc can run Mortal kombat 11, Doom Eternal, many other games at max graphic settings and smoothly get 60fps; I still drop 10 fps in AL like loading in maps but 99% of the time its 60 fps no matter what else.
If you mean by using an app to lock your fps to 60 no matter the pc specs are then I am sorry to tell you that it doesn't work like that. If it did then I would buy a 50$ pc instead of spending thousands of dollars on one.
