It's my first time on the Star Legends forums, but I'm sure you Star Legends guys are having the same problems:
http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?52794-Botters

Check out that thread and leave some ideas!

Most in SL "think"/know of one. I'm not calling names as you who he/she/it is. Hopefully one day I can get some recorded video of him.

Or report him to the support team! They'll wipe him out!

Well, as far as i see this problem, bots can be used only for making an account for sale. Otherwise, it's quite pointless, as boting prevents personal participation and while raising skills of a toon, player's 'human' skills remain poor. This means when a botted lvl capped player appears on Voleria - he dies fast and a lot, coz he does not really know what to do

So, STS or really bothered players should monitor the websites selling MMO accs (anyone knows any of them??) and as soon as SL is featured there - check and report those

They sell the program and most of the time it is free, only premium stuff like better scripts costs money.

Bots are basically a repetitive macro, simple is easiest, more complex is alot harder. The auto/saved messages (one click to speak) could be considered a chat bot. Just find out a way to take out the need to click it, and that about it.

Most bots capitalize on limitless enemies/non stop spawn points. Areas where they can perform a small macro (like shoot) by just standing there. They pick up xp or creds, I haven't seen a spot like that in SL, and if it was there it should be reported as an exploit and see if the devs want to fix it, because it probably isn't intended by the devs to be there.

Easiest bot and one I would EXPECT to see (and probably already have seen) is a beggar bot. Just don't give people you don't know stuff and it would stop. This is probably the closest thing to a bot I have seen, and since it is one click, probably not a bot but just someone click, click, clicking.

Now I am NOT saying it is impossible to make a bot, but it aint easy to make something sophisticated. It would take basically a dev to work out every step and action to complete a function in a map then a whole string of it to get from start to finish. It's not like a simple chop wood, or dig a hole function that some games have to build xp or creds in this game, it would probably be a competing dev to make it and sell or give it away to screw up the competition.

This is a concern since it ruins most mmo games for players, but it seems to me the devs have set it up keeping bots in mind and avoided most of the stuff easy to bot. I think scamming/begging is much easier to do for the basic player (and only for creds/items) then writing long code to run a map on auto, and then have it select and start it all over again when it finishes.

Bots might also have default names since they're not there for the entertainment
