Technically anything that doesnt fit into the trade box is considered illegal by the ToS but people have been selling signatures and bosses on forums for ages for gold, so tbh it isnt 100% clear but you for sure cant sell such services for RL money so i would argue that just selling names for gold should be ok but not sure if it is considerd legal by the devs

It’s not allowed, and STS won’t hesitate to ban your account if you try to do it.
Not only is there a high chance of getting banned, there is also a (very) high chance of getting scammed.
Basically any trade that doesn’t fit into the trade window has a high chance of scams and problems.

By no means am I sanctioning the selling and buying of names, but I believe this came up a few years back. I think the official answer is “any trade that doesnt occur within the trading mechanism designated for the game is out of our [sts] hands.” I can see how the grey area would trip some people up. Safest answer: don’t buy igns. I personally do not think its an offense worth banning over (if gold is used to purchase the name), but STS does reserve the right to close any account for any infraction they deem worthy of punishment.

It isn't written in ToS but devs have said its against the rules to buy or sell igns.
