Full strength bear?

Can somone tell me the pros and cons? Im noticing as the levels get higher dual is not too fun cause the sets are givong more hit% so i was thinking about respecing to be an uber tank death machine. Well im making all toons pure except twinks :P so ideas?

Well bud most str gear doesn't give hit chance :p unless your at 50 then rift might be good :p but after that. The pro gear isn't much good for a pure strength bear :p

If you're content with not attacking, and have near-perfect parties, shouldn't pure str be perfect for pure tanks?
Or does hit% also go with skillls, meaning 0% and no skills will hit?

Thats what im wondering cause pure str you should be able to tank with the 65% it gives gou for pure str

The big top set gives great hit :) (only set i know of str with good hit) but u dont want a lvl 60 one. 56 is usually tje best choice but 58 is a cheap alternative.note that this set jas no set bonus but great hit% :) (better hit than strongman)

I'd say get some dex. What's the point of pure str anyways? Yay 2 more dodge! Yay 15 more armor!

Hit% effects weapons & skills so pure str isn't a good idea. Your aggro control is greatly affected by low hit% ... but to each his own.

Yes, but wont he good at pvp or anything, well depends on what you do with it like you can get hit % ring and face and make it a 70% hit instead of the 66% it is without those boosters you know what i mean?

Sure, you can take some heat with those stats, but thats not everything tanking is about. In fact, it's only a small part of it.
With 66 hit, you are very likely to miss taunts, beckons and stomps. You are not able to control the crowd efficiently, which is one of the main purposes of a tank bear. The reduced hit/crit/dmg will also make it harder to sustain aggro, wich is important for successful tanking.

I don't think going pure str is any good, and most pro bears (which I don't belong to :p ) would propably say the same. The small gain in survivablity is simply not worth the sacrifices you would have to make by loosing dex.

What is a decent ammount of dex i should use? Atm i have 130 dex and only get 98 hit %

98hit is very neat, I guess you are boosting it with equip/face/ring/etc?
100% would optimally mean all skills will hit (unless debuffed or dodged), but at 66 most bears will have about 94-98hit if I recall correctly.

Ah, thanks for help :-) i think i needa add +20 to dex in order to get +2 hit % id say
