I know that this could of posted in Mage discussion but i brought it here because i wanted a wider response. I searched the forums for a good 10 minutes trying to find anything about strength mages. I have created one, currently level 25 with full crystalline set. I am pure strenth and wanted to find out more about them.

Firstly, builds, skills and stat distribution. Is there a specific way to do this? I currently have Frostbite at 2, Lightning at 2, heal at 3, ressurect at 3, firestorm at 2, ice storm at 2, drain life at 3, weakness at 2, nightmare at 1, magic shield at 1, blessing of vitality at 1, and Blessing of might at 2. Would this be acceptable? The next thing i want to know is is their a specific arrangement of the skills? How much strength would i need to have and at what levels?

Secondly, is their anything that i have missed? What sets would i need and at what levels?

*If you know of anything to do with any of these points would you post them here? There is a lot to take in, but if you know anything, just anything about strength mages, please post the infomation here*

Never go full str. Never ever with a mage. Just put enough into str to wear the desired equip, the rest goes to int or dex. Some prefer to go for int, for the increased skill potence and mana/ms, some would recommend going for dex to get some nice dmg, crit and most importantly increase the hit%. This is the biggest struggle for a Pally (strmage), so always try to get your hit up (face, ring, gear, dex).

Skillwise, max both your blessings, then get up lightning, firestorm, few into frostbite, one in shield, some heal and drain, by endgame all except ressurect and shield should be maxed.

If you are looking to PvP there are different builds ofc, take a look into the PvP discussion for that.

common (strong) builds are with:
Iceberg longsword (lvl30)
Zuraz shock lance (lvl45)
Rift 2h Set (lvl50)
FuryFighter 2h Set (lvl55)
Demonic 2h set (lvl60)

Most (All?) people do not go str mage because then their mage skills do much less damage and they heal much less. When mage skills became much better with high INT, lots of mages went to pure int. The closest you will get to a str mage will be pallies. Search pally, pallies, paladins.

Imo, the best pally stat build is enough str for equipps, 11 int (extra m/s) and the rest into dex.

Id use dark elf face (hit %)
2dodge 8armor ring

Exactly,
For a lvl 25 a build would be:
6 Bom
5 Bov
1 Ice
1 Icestorm
1 fire
6 Light
5 Heal
1 drain

You may be asking why no mana shield? The reason is with the no mama regen the shield would get in your way.

Do you want pve or pvp? And will you be leveling or is this a twink. Either way at this level I suggest max the blessings and also have maxed drain. If it's a pvp twink no rev. If it's a solo pver twink or not, no rev unless youre with a group.

Oh robbie still hating those innocent warbirds and pallies? How about intbears or intbirds?

Having full str on mages is bad. You wont get much mana regen. And mages take up a lot of mana when u try to nuke or tank using lots of skills

My endgame mage used to be pally. I put just enough str to equip items and all the rest in dex.

Pure str mage is 10x worse than a pure str bear.

Im not familiar w 25 equipment but that skill build was the bad. You wont need even one rev, light should be maxed bc it has a quick cooldown and is great closer up. Ive a double light combo that would work well there too.
No mana shield, get max buffs if possible one on the others. Not sure what the attributes look like that low but I would shoot for min str (just to equip) and at least 11 int if possible 61 int or 67 dex.

Great thread.
I just built a strength mage the other day.
The only strength mage I was close with seemed to have quit.

They have died down endgame because lilith is so OP, but last cap there were many demonic pallies, my thrasher team 61-65 first day of fang cap consist of me(a bear) and 4 mages, 3 of which were pallies

Actually you would want to do:
6 BoM
5 BoV
1 Ice
1 Fire
3 Light
4 Heal
6 Drain

Since Drain maxed does most damage for the mage skills, and it's a 12M, which is very important against birds and bears, which will be around level 25 PvP due to the level 30 gear and the level 20 gear surrounding it.

Yeah, during Sewers there were a lot more Dex Mages, Pallies, etc
But all of them went to Wand Pure INT because the set is so OP

I have a 56 pally it's pretty beast too lol i could help you in game if you want, but my first and most important word of advice...DO NOT USE MANA SHIELD AT ALL, you're a pally meaning less mana regen more armor..for tanking/reviving not draining your mana so when your team dies from lack of healing you die cuz you can't revive them lol.
