SPECTATOR MODE - PvP and PvE

I think it would be great to allow players to enter games without having to actually play.

There can either be a certain amount of spectators that may enter
-For example:

PvE - 5 actual players with up to 5 spectators per game or in or limitless amounts of spectators.

PvP - 6 actual players with up to 6 spectators per game or in or limitless amounts of spectators.

Spectators may click on any other players they wish to follow (point of view).

The only restriction would be that the player who wishes to spectate must meet level requirements.

I think a Spectator Mode feature may be entertaining for players who wish to see how other people play. And, it's just fun to watch. If a player takes a break they can just watch their fellow players play.

In my opinion, I think comments should be disabled so they do not distract the other players.

I like the idea. I've been interested in PVP but since I don't have the slightest clue as to what is going on, I've largely stayed away. Right now all I'm good for is dying. LOL I've visited the maps (password locked of course) but that's as far as its gone.

Been suggested many times, every time has got a better response. I like the idea, but where will players stand? Will there be a windowed area off to the side of the map? Is there a portal that takes you to a huge room where you choose from the available games and spectate from? There could be a spectator hub area like a mini town with lots of portals leading to runs when there is a space available it flashes?

I think it should really unsophisticated and be relegated to a passi e unobtrusive role

My opinion is this:

You don't get a designated place to stand. It gets its own menu, like the join/host game menu. From there, it works just like host/join, but you press spectacte. From there, you get the list of 'party's members. Click one, and your screen will be exactly as they see their screen. You see them move, turn, rotate the camera, type, use skills, use pots, EVERYTHING. except for if they go into their player menu.

All of this will take place WHEREVER you were when you hit Spectate, UNLESS you are in a pvp room, or pve instance. If in one of said places, the spectate menu will be offlimits, so you cant hog up space in parties.

And -that- is my two cents.

Something like runescape again... Watching at castle wars or going to clan wars =/ STOP SUGGESTING RUNESCAPE RELATED STUFF LOL... But if we do this, it should be like CALL IF DUTY... 1st person view would be ownage :-D

Do you realize the amount of work, drawing, and coding that would require, sir?!

Man, I suggested this idea a while back, and so have many others. Always the same feedback. I honestly would love if they implemented this for PL. It doesn't look like this is number one priority on STS's to-do list though...

Haven't we all? Thade told me he was looking into a spectator feature. I'll look for that again.
