I’m think it’s either unbalance (purple glow) or balance staff (yellow glow) weapon with vanity staff over it

Balanced weapons can change the color when charging attack. Dark attack - Purple glow. Light attack - Yellow glow.

Not a bug, just a new feature.

You can use archon ring that has purple glow and it'll have similar effect!
