What causes rushing? What makes your feel bad? The unability to win or opponent using what we would call cheap tricks such as 'running', 'tree hugging', early shielding, etc.

Imagine if your someone good, or you know that you can win most people or some specific people. They ask you to 'go'. You 'go' then you lose. I'm sure that you would be like, ' Oh, I lost to him because I didn't concerntrate or giving him chance, maybe lazy to be fast enough? He dodged/I missed one attack thats why I lost. But I know I can own him'. Then I would bet, for most people their next thing you would do is to want a comeback by having a rematch to prove that you are the superior one.

After some time in PVP, I have realised that people go through a few stages.
1)Having fun, first time in PVP
2)Getting better
3)Becoming even better then knowing who you can defeat easily or able to
4)Compliments come in, now your one of the better PVPers
5)Getting rushed and teamed by 'average' PVPers, knowing that you could beat them in 1v1 easily
6)Thinking of quitting when these 'noobs' in your mind defeat you easily by teaming.
7)You give up and rage or feel sad then purposely messing up for your 'fans' that compliment you to see that it was a purpose lose.

I am sure that MOST of you out there (Maybe not all) have been through at least 2-3 of these stages listed above.

For myself, (Denug/Wardrops), I have personally been through these stages and I liked the compliments I got and that caused me to think I was one of the best voodoos. (Laughs! Long time ago!) Who doesn't think they are one of the best after winning alot of people and getting compliments like 'wow, your good' 'how are you so good?' 'your so good can you teach me?' 'wow good kdr!'(Alot of people kill boost these days :/)? Hahaha!

These compliments make you think that you are good which I think it means that you would only lose to certain players. Once these 'average' players ask you to 'go' and you lose in front of your 'fans' (the people that compliment you), most people would do what is stated above, make a comeback and prove to the 'fans' that your better.

There are many many other types of players but I feel that this is the most common 'trend' that is happening in PVP currently. I do believe that there are still humble PVPers out there! And this is not a rant but just how I feel! And don't tell me your the best mage or your the best nuker :) To be honest, I have heard that more than ten times.

Happy PVPing! :D

P.S. I PVP at 35....... So it may be different at other lvls.

Pretty well thought out denug, the best way I know to answer your question is go read my thread called "a guide to surviving the arena." It will explain quite a bit to you if you take the time to read it all the way through.

Early shielding? Isnt that just regular shielding? I think you mightve been referring to late shielding which IMO is a cheap tactic (higher end pvp)

Yea true... But for my encounter, when you are like the good player at there, many higher levels like to test you or pick on you by rushing.

Yah you are right but denug is talking about 35 pvp as Stated at the end of his post. And at 35 pvp it's not done to shield at the beginning of the fight. We first try to nuke eachother or kite before activate our shield.

Was best lvl 20 mage back when they were popular, I was one of 2 peppermint hammer pallies. Then I made a riot bear and brought those back into popularity from lvl 19 (intbear era) after they got their rage buffed.

Meh, i went through it all, except i was mad that out of no where people would get better than me >.> Now i'm just meh

I guys the oldies just gotta sit back and be known as "That one legend. Was best back when..." type guys. Idk. Lately that's been what I've done. I still pvp and all, but I'm no where near the top as i was before (for lvl 19-20 pvp).

Now I'm just one of the "good twinks"

Hmm my stages went very differently.

Stages:
1. Learning how to not be killed by my husband rush. Didn't mind being killed over and over.
2. Wanting to try out the small skills I had and no one would pvp me cuz I was a "noob" and not worth it so I hid my stats.
3. Got tired of the "go" and begin to enforce FFA because I felt that was how the game was intended.
3a.(forgot this one) became frustrated at such the imbalance sets and vanities made in pvp.
4. Became an outcast for wanting FFA lol.
5. Entered into the tournament to finally be able to fight those people who said i wasnt worth fighting. No one choose me to win.
6. Long story short.... First win.... Tons of people finally wanted to pvp me.
7. Second win..... NO ONE would pvp me. Kind of made me sad.
8. Suddenly feared being beat and then bragged against lol.
9. My stats started looking super hot and debated about showing them.
10. Decided stats are worthless again and started just playing to have fun again.
11. Play to have fun. Not worrying if I'm ambushed or outnumbered. Just looking for a laugh.
