Head to Traveler's Outpost to hear the plight of Frozen Hope

We all know Frozen Hope well as the home of Arlor's favorite winter hub, but Winter is in jeopardy this year, threatened by a crazed sorcerer Cladius the Cursed and his frozen army. They appear to believe that capturing a brood egg will be a useful boon to their army's power, and if they get their hands on it....well, Winter in Frozen Hope, nay, all of Arlor, may be lost for good!

Visit King Frost himself, Cirro, in Traveler's Outpost to claim your first Frosted Coin tokens, pick up a quest, and get ready to head through the portal (no energy required!) to face the frozen threat. Yvegard is also standing nearby with some more intel on the situation and another daily quest for some bonus tokens.

To Frozen Hope

On the other side of the portal you'll find the nearly unrecognizable entrance to Frozen Hope, overtaken by Cladius' minions. Enter the starting area with your party members to unlock the gate and start the fight, culminating in the defeat of Cladius himself.

Tokens

Collect Frosted Coins by defeating enemies and completing daily quests. These can be turned in to King Frost for some chilly vanity weapons...

and frosty furnishings for your home. A Hoarfrost pitcher and goblet, plus a commemorative life-size statue of King Frost himself (all trade-friendly)!

Defeat the final boss Cladius for chance to drop the other 3 Hoarfrost weapons, plus the Hoarfrost vanity armor and helmet.

Set Bonus

Combine the Hoarfrost vanity armor, vanity helmet, a Hoarfrost weapon, and the Hoarfrost banner from the token vendor to activate the Black Ice Aura, which also gives a chance for 'Black Ice Explosion' proc when defeating an enemy.

Want the Black Ice aura without the full set? You're in luck! Visit the Store on the 12th and 13th of December to purchase the Black Ice wisp, granting the Black Ice aura effect regardless of your gear. (The wisp does not grant the Black Ice Explosion proc, however.)

If I may say, I would love to see more of the concept of rarely lootable bound items along events. Being able to loot event crates from event bosses, that are not locked and also contain certain bound item that is rare (preferably vanity item or house furniture to display) is always amazing. Same as what you did for example with "Bound Skull backpack vanity". Looting and the thrill of opening free crates, is in my opinion important part for gameplay experience to be exciting rather than just buying that item. :)
But so far you guys are my most favourite mmorpg of all times. Keep up the great work. :)

Devs please take a look at vanity drops for lower levels. I have yet to see any of my team mates or even me get a vanity drop. I have been running all afternoon. So I think I should have seen at least 1. I'm lv 62 btw :) thx guys. So far good event.
