View Full Version : Problems buying Plat with google/paypal

Hey Guys,

Before i start i have been able to buy plat on my mobile for PL with no issues whatsoever.

So ive been trying to buy plat for DL on my mobile and im getting a constant purchase cancelled (Google checkout)
I jumped on the desktop and was able to buy 1 pack of 30 plat no issues at all (Google checkout)

The next day i tried my phone again and still couldnt get an order through, jumped on the computer and now that wont work either!! I have tried Google checkout and Paypal<---Pages crashes when i change country to Australia.

Troubleshooting ive done...

Deleted my card and set it up again
Made sure i had plenty of money on the card

Think thats all i can realy do...
Any help here would be great :)

Update,

I just tried the Amazon checkout and was able to process an order for 30 plat, but its been 15 minutes so far and the platinum hasn't been credited to my account!!

Can i please get this looked at ASAP

I would speak to support, who can track down your orders and see if you have any pending.

Include your in game name, level, and include in the subject something like "I can't buy platinum". Explain your problem and they can review your previous purchases.

Yea as you can expect thousands of purchases are going through at the moment, so yours might be in a sort of "queue". Although i havent heard this from Amazon, its happened many times with PL after/before major updates/events.

OK still haven't had any word from support on my order i didn't receive and my mobile still wont let me buy plat, but now my desktop does?? wtf is going on i didn't change anything??
Dev's any chance you can talk to support and suss out whats going on??

Support do not work on weekends. Have you had an email back confirming that your request has gone through? You will see a ticket #3 or something similar. I think these tickets are a waiting queue.

Keep waiting, I'm sure that you will get your platinum :)

Yup sure have. Ill give it another day to get thos fixed

As to the question of why it's easier to buy platinum from a desktop than it is from a mobile phone -

When using Google Checkout from a mobile device, sometimes the user is allowed to complete the transaction process without entering a billing address (Google Checkout doesn't event prompt for this if you're already signed in). We've found that the failure rate for these transactions is much higher than normal, though it does work some of the time. If you're having trouble making a webstore purchase from a mobile device, we recommend cancelling that order and trying again from a desktop browser. Be aware, however, that some merchants or banks will keep a "lock" on the funds of a canceled transaction for a few days, so those funds may not be immediately available, even though they haven't actually been removed from your account.

I have had similar problems when trying to purchase plat through Google Play, but there is no problem If I buy directly from STS webstore and I can still use Google Wallet to pay.

I had support reply to my msg finaly he/she didnt realy asnswer my question very well,but you did thankyou!
As per the mgs they sent i bought directly from sts store instead of via the gamethe order went tnrough got the order id got transaction sucessfull, but didnt recive the plat?? My account has been debited its in my outstanding autherisations section with anz.
Ive sent a support request AGAIN.
This is real annoying! I just want to buy plat on my phone instead of waiting to get home
