1.3 crashes?

Hey folks, have you been experiencing more crashes with this update? If so, can you try to narrow it down for us specifically when/ where?

As I stated in another thread it happens to me in AO2, maps 5 and 6. It always happens near the end of the map, and these are situations where we are clearing the map not just running past everything. It has been slightly better since the update but is still a problem. For instance, I couldn't finish either of those maps before the last patch. Last night I played though map 5 once without crash, but then played it again, and crashed outside the room of the first boss.

Edit: And what happens in every case is this. All of a sudden I will get mega lag/slowdown to the point of barely being able to move, and not being able to communicate (press chat and the keyboard will freeze), ping may reach a the high hundreds or a few thousand, but the screen is essentially frozen for several seconds. After a bit, the screen goes black, the app crashes, and I am on the homescreen.

I had mentioned this to Asommers in another thread and he said he was gonna try to reproduce it, but I figure I would put it here also. The issue comes when I log into the game, and stay on the main screen, never entering a realm. If I switch characters, then go right to the menu screen to check their inventory, it sometimes crashes. It was happening a lot more frequently before the last patch, and I thought it was gone, but it started happening again yesterday. The reasoning behind what I was doing was trying to quickly check the inventory of my different characters looking for an item.

This happens to me using an iPhone4 over 3G (possible iffy connection) but it is not a disconnect from the server, it is a game shut down.

Just to confirm, you mean out of the app, on iPod home screen, not the login screen for PL, correct? It used to send you out to the login screen, and then if you logged in again, it would teleport you right back to where you were.

Yup it's a crash not a disconnect, I go to the iPod screen and have to relaunch PL.

My groups didn't suffer the same fate either. I wonder if it is just old devices (which mine is). What are you playing on Yardsalez?

If it is player and not group, most likely would be a memory problem and not a problematic code object, unless you were completely away from the group when it happened. That is why I was asking.

Be sure to say whether or not you rebooted your iDevice after you updated to 1.3 version. This is actually recommended after any reinstall.

Hold down both the Home and Sleep button for about 3 seconds until it says Slide to Turn Off, or something like that. Turn it off. Count to ten. Hold down the Sleep button for 3 seconds again. A white Apple logo will appear and the iDevice will start.

I have experienced crashes that were resolved this way on two other Apps (Weight Watchers and Real Racing). Since then I have always rebooted after reinstalling. I have not had a crashing problem on my iPad 3G.

The same exact thing just happened to me during a lengthy run in the respawning dungeon beneath the rusty grate in Balefort, except it was not preceded by the same sort of megalag as usual. I just got a bit laggy, saw the boss spawn, and was going to message the group to let them know when my screen went blank and the app crashed.

I haven't gotten any crashes but I got a disconnect after going to the menu during a run and turning my sleep button on and off which was odd since such circumstances never warranted a disconnect before.

Same here especially on ao2 map 5. ill be playing and ill get a super high ping and then either ill have to reboot/restart my ipod cuz its completelly frozen or pocket legends will just outright crash and ill be back at the ipod home screen. and i dont think its a memory issue because i have 1.5 gigs of memory which to me seems like plenty!

I get black screen of death, happened 5/6 times already, near end of map 5 or 6, I got disconnected, had to relog. It annoyed me greatly as I just about to kill the boss and after I put on luck potions.

Other maps have no issue.

I've definately had it happen to me probably at least once a day on my iPhone - and indeed, it effects just me, not others in the group. v1.2 used to be fine and appear stable but v1.3 less so.

It happened to me for the first time, right before the boss too. It crashed and only affected me.

According to that post I linked above they have a fix in place for version 1.3.1 which isn't out yet (hasn't been submitted yet afaik).

i have only had a crash once when i was fighting a boss. that was it, though.

Ive noticed thia to happen at anytime during gameplay.... Not only this but also high ping and ranom
disconnects from the server

I crash to home screen and then i cant get back on the game. It just keeps crashing. So i have to delete the app and install it again which takes ages.
