Dark bow...

I think a dark bow would be a cool idea. We have dark swords, and dark staffs and wands, all of which with nightmare proc, I think it would be cool to have a dark bow with nightmare proc. I realize a lightning bow would seem kinda old, but very cool. I don't think there are any bows with a proc other than fire, and ice proc. I think they would look cool, and be pretty helpful.

That would be pretty sweet. Too over powered though in PVP, being able to hit with nightmare from a distance?

Not to mention dark matter staffs, the nightmare wears you down, and the DPS on those things are amazing for Int.

EDIT: As of right now, archers are only available to fire and ice proc bows, too bad they are too low of levels to be useful to a level 45. I would use a dark bow in a second if I could.

Wands have range but low DPS, so nightmare is fine. I think a darkbow would be overpowered, but also cool, so whatever. I would use it ;)

But wands are an off hand weapon, so you should rather compare a dark bow to a dark matter staff or else it's comparing a 2H to a 1H.

Eh, I still say, since they're carried by characters with primary Int, it's okay, but like I said it's no big deal. I expect we'll probably see a dark bow some day...

Edit: and wands are on hand weapons lol, bracers are off hand :P

Hopefully, not to mention wands can be carried with an eye, so the carrier can have better armor and stats because of the wands boosts and armor. I would really like to see dark bows though.

A bow or xbox is going to be faster than a wand too, making the weapon proc extremely often. Very overpowered if you ask me.

wand : 1.2 speed
bow: 1.0 speed
xbow: .7 speed

Scarab bow has a speed of 1.0, Staffs now have an average speed of 1.3, and wands with a speed of roughly 1.1 So it wouldn't be much faster at all.

The wand was just dropped to 1.2 as of the update between my post and now, I guess they increased staff speeds as well.

Perhaps not such a speed difference, but consider all the people who specced intel, just to use a dark item for PVP combos. We all know intel is the least beneficial stat, but in these cases, it's made up with the opportunity to use a dark wand/staff to combo. I wouldn't expect to see any intel birds/bears if a dark bow was released. You would have more DPS, armor, dodge, and crit.
