ctf font bug or change?

At ctf there is at middle shown text x killed x or x team has flag. There was earlier that cool looking font but now it's replaced with "normal" font. Bug or known change?

I believe it was in the latest patch as people complained the text got in their way. Personally I like it better, as I can see much more of the screen.

Also was wondering if it's bug because of shadow left there old sized.
