Defense or Health?

I've been doing well in PvP, I die a lot, mostly because I have the flag, so I'm playing offense more than defense. But is it better to load up on health or defense before I go in?

yeah the mechanics as far as the significance between defense and health are rather confusing. Attack and damage seem to share the same role but s far as specific mechanics go, i'm really confused... Any devs wanna help out and clarify?
