I've been robbed of 1 armor. I recently bought some twink gear, expecting my armor to go up to 1373. After putting on the items, my armor was only 1372. The game is doing addition improperly to rob me of 1 armor....what gives?

230264230265
230266230267
230268230269
230270

224+336+125+275+400+13 = 1373, not 1372. So why am I being robbed of 1 armor?

is this a serious thread? 1 armor makes no difference.

It is a serious thread. What in the world did they put in the code such that the game isn't adding properly?

Try actually finding out which item exactly robs u off 1 armor? Its easy saying if wear my whole set i have less armor while its probably like 1 piece that is causing it

There is an armor cap each lvl. Rip- the cap doesn't make you lose 1 armor nor does it limit the amount of armor you can have. It just limits the max damage reduction a player has. Like lv 76 cap the armor limit is 8215.
Suggest you find the cap on your twink and pass it up enough to resist 25% reduction debuffs then go for str.
You take the exact same damage with 999999 armor as you do with 8215.

i've tested it out, when wearing just my weapon and chest, if i equip the helmet it comes up 1 armor short. Same thing happens vice versa. If I'm wearing the weapon and the helmet, then equip the chest piece it comes up 1 armor short. So it doesn't seem like the item slot matters

I’m remembering a dev mentioning that some numerics are fractions that display rounded up
Such as the helm may be actually 223.8, but displays 224

I’m guessing that’s it

I actually had that thought. Maybe not all the items are set to round numbers. Just scaled with decimals

Yes, it is in correlation with the game rounding fractions to the nearest integer.

This applies also to damage inflicted and received, gold drops. Essentially everything in the game.

Numerical stats are rounded off

Why would they add decimal values to stats to begin with in things like armor and health.

I'm guessing they picked an end point and a start point and just scaled it in between or something like that. For those who missed it, I obviously don't care about 1 armor. I was being sarcastic to start a conversation to better understand how stats are calculated. It was successful. Thanks for the responses

If you get completely naked you might notice that it says you have "-0 Armor", maybe that minus means something?

I wouldnt even want to fight someone with this gear, no wonder how pvp died off.
