Is here any difference between weapon classes besides their look? Like do daggers have any shorter range then swords, or maybe they have a faster attack speed?
Thank you

Some proc knock downs, some freeze, I'm pretty sure some slow, but I can't figure out how to definitively test that.

If I can do it from memory, things that look like heart gashes proc freeze. White-blue ice appears around the enemy. Soul Mashers I know for sure stun/knock down. And I've been chasing after enemies in pvp autoing with katana, and they seem to be slower than me. I'm not sure if its from something else. Oh, and f daggers are anything like PL, they'll proc a bleed, making the opponent lose hp over time.

I've only had axes freeze. I've had swords and daggers both set fire to targets. I don't know about slow, maybe the maces?

DEFENSE AND HEALTH CLASSES

Armor
Hardiness
Bulwark
Fitness
Fortitude
Potency
Shielding
Well-Being
Warding
Vigor
Redoubt
Vitality
Protection

ATTACK AND DAMAGE CLASSES

Onslaught
Offense
Aggresion
Striking
Barrage
Bashing
Assault

All weapons with the same name (i.e. night butcher's, life mauls, and light cutters) proc ability no matter which class they are in. The only abilities I know of for sure right now are Night Butchers/Freeze, Life Mauls/ Knock Down, & light cutters/Fire.

I am interested in this and will be looking further into it. I apologize for not being able to be of more assistance at this time.

I use predominantly daggers, and they seem to set fire to things on a combo finisher.

I noticed no visual effect while using a sword.

Maces seemed to freeze.

I'm curious, mostly my weapons are pinks, but there have been times while leveling where I've used greens. And greens didn't seem to proc like pinks do. Anyone noticed a proc frequency difference between greens and pinks?

Probably pinks have a higher proc chance

I've never had any of my greens proc and I leveled most of the way to 20 with green weapons.

What weapons do you use? Because as far as I'm aware there is no visual effect for swords.

Is it possible these weapon bonuses only apply to pinks?

I have only had pink weapons proc. Never a green or white.

OK, I bought 4 lvl 20 greens, one of each type. Axe, sword, dagger, and mace. Greens do proc, but it seems to be at a lesser rate. I'll update this post with screenshots as I can capture them. This will tell us if its the weapon type or the suffix that determines the proc type. Testing on 1st 3d mission in Kane's Crest.

Lvl 20 Axes of Protection (ice) (axe):

Lvl 20 Blood Fans of Vitality (fire) (dagger):

Lvl 20 Silver Hammers of Protection (???) (mace):

Unable to generate any sort of noticeable proc effect on two runs. Either there is no animation for it or there is no effect.

Lvl 20 Falchions of Protection (???) (sword):

Just like the mace, I was unable to generate a proc effect with swords.

NOTES:
1. Proc events seem to coincide with criticals. But not all criticals produced a proc.
2. Daggers seem to proc more than axes.
3. Maces seem reluctant to critical. Less than swords, daggers and axes in any event. No noticeable proc animations or effects.
4. Swords critical at an OK rate, but there appears to be no effect.
5. It appears that it is weapon type that determines what type of proc you get. I've used various axes of *insert suffix here* and only got ice for them. Both green and pink. Same for daggers and fire.

Somebody please make a guide on the differences between weapons!

I've used swords for a while. No effects. Then maces, also no effects. My new level 19 pink daggers seem to set things on fire, but I can't make it proc reliably.

That's all I can contribute right now.

The vast majority of the time it was green katanas. I just liked the look. :) However, I believe you are correct in your thinking that there is no proc effect for swords, or maces, for that matter.

Does a dev care to weigh in on the matter? It sure would simplify the testing process, not to mention save money for us from buying test weapons and blood packs.

So far, I've noticed Axes freeze, Maces knockdown, Daggers fire.
