How does the reputation system work?

So how does it? Anybody know? I've been trying to find patterns and I can't find any... Like posts and thanks... Still can't find one! Do devs just give you a bar if they like you or something >.>?

The reputation system is fairly simple on these forums.

Firstly, reputation is green. If you "thank" someone's posts, their reputation slowly increases. This increases their reputation points. Click on settings to see how many points you have.

People can do the same to you, other forumers can give you reputation for your posts. In that case, your reputation increases.

Reputation system is the reason why we all are here. We try to feel important by those little green bars and numbers which are called "forum weewee". It is a large part of our "internets weewee" as well.

People should keep in mind that thanks are not necessarily equivalent to likes on Facebook but I guess that's just up for interpretation ;)

:P I don't like rep, but I think I figured out pretty much how it works. Every thanks is worth 2 rep, and it doubles when more then one person thank a post. ^_^ pretty sure that's how it works, but I could be wrong.
