take everything im saying with a grain of salt this is suppose to be fun its a concept that probably wont happen. so whos up for a discussion ?

when a weapon is enlighten the weapon will gain a effect similar to the immortal weapons but in white.
when wearing a weapon vanity youll still be able to see this effect only if its equipped.

Believe it or not this is practical.
these are some of the issues i ran into when thinking of this.

will this work with Drag staff, balance weapons and lvl 47 untradeable flame forge weapons? i honestly dont know how these weapons will work with "Ancient Roots".ill make a assumption that drag staff wont work well with this concept and balance weapons will probably be fine. flame forge weapons will be tradeable if this happened

will enlighten weapons be tradeable?
yes.

what did you mean by the same base?

legendary staff + ancient spirit staff = enlighten staff
mythic staff + ancient spirit staff = enlighten staff
arcane staff + ancient spirit staff= enlighten staff

legendary gun + ancient spirit gun = enlighten gun
mythic gun + ancient spirit gun = enlighten gun
arcane gun + ancient spirit gun = enlighten gun

if you try
legendary gun + ancient spirit staff it wont work
the bases are not the same.
staff+staff= staff
gun+gun=gun

will the weapon look like ancient spirit item?
no it wont. it will look like the weapon you chose to craft it with. it will also keep any visual effects and will gain a new effect .

old collectable weapons? i mean this isnt a problem really.
if people enlighten a old collectable weapon its because they wanted the look mostly. i can see almost all weapons increasing in price slightly because of this.some more then others.

what about kershal,b.b hooks and maul of ollerus ?
i think this is fine.

what about pvp?
Enlighten weapons wont work in pvp.

what about the prices of ancient spirit weapons and murk stones?
i think they might slightly rise but not by much.

Can i combined 3 weapons into 1?
no.

can i combined a Enlighten weapon with a ancient spirit weapon to create a enlighten weapon?
no. once enlighten it will stay like this permanently the npc wont allow you to.

can i create enlighten helm and armor ?
no. maybe but as of now no.

why did you use firesquid in the video?
because firesquid has one of the fastest basic attack speed in the game and one of the fastest basic charge times also.

why is this needed ?
it isnt needed but it would be nice to have it gives ancient spirit weapons a purpose.

what if someone in the game bought all the weapons and enlighten every single weapon in the game?
i dont think that will happen.

do you think this is broken and will ruin the game?
no.

if we are able to gain xp for weapons outside of festerfang swamp no one will farm festerfang? this is a misconception i dont believe this one bit.

would anyone like to contribute ? what could possibly be the worst out come of this ?

and last i dont think something like this will be implemented because of how long it will take creating the weaps.

First impression is “yeah!”
But then I have to admit: I think all the stacking procs is bad enough as is now, but add this and it’s worse maybe.
The problem may be less your idea than the fact that hotbars and proc stacking rule lately.

I like that you’ve offered counters to perceived problems, that is well thought, also love that you find a way to make those spirit weapons more meaningful (after how much work they take).

& I hear you on “do you think this will ruin the game” (no) however I have to add ;
Will this break some event lb? Yup.

The former limitations of warriors is currently completely negated by their ability to hotbar and proc stack

What say you?if you remove engine weaps,gear and hotbars from the game. the end game content becomes unplayable or should i say a huge struggle.

lets say we apply my concept with hotbars....without engine weaps or engine gear.

the games content will still be a huge struggle. so is this broken? no.

lets remove my concept and add engine weaps and gear without hotbars.

when you add engine weaps only the game starts to become bearable but only slightly. " its still a struggle"

when you add engine weap,gear and hot bars the game becomes playable.

and when you apply my concept i dont think a pull is going to have such a massive impact on the game. at least not yet.
+ we kill things so fast now pets dont even get a chance to apply there passives so i dont see how a pull is going to effect the game in a negative way .

i guess your looking at it from the perspective old weapons now can be leveled ? but its sorta obvious that the engine and ebon weaps + gear is the strongest in the game. nothing from past can replace that.

another issue i found is.

well when will the weapons rotate out? they wont lol because weapons can be leveled with this. but the weapon will either level up to 71 or delevel to 71

and to answer your question.

when the devs apply something to the game. after everything i stated for the most part. they make sure things scale a certain way. they know and thats why the game is the way it is.
the devs designed the meta we play in.
thats my assumption.

so if my concept is applied the devs will scale whats needs to be scaled.events,maps,weapons,gear and etc

this is a concept doe. i dont except for this to be applied. the amount of time it will take to back track and create hundreds of new weapons.it will be insane and also the amount of testing for each and every new weapon created.

the message im trying to get across is damn...this is practical
or i would like to assume that it is.i guess the creating process makes it impractical.

also i want people to think

last i added a extra jewel slot to the weapon lol is that to broken?

Why don't Al make an event where you can Loot weapon level chests

These are chests that you can apply to any weapon and level them up to the max.And also increase the base stats according to the level.

This would make lots of old weapons more useful in the game.

That’s called Spirit Weapons... and it was a failed concept. Original credits belong to STS...

To OP, it’s a nice concept I’ll +1, although STS would never do this. If they do, great if not, oh well.

What I'm talking about is that Speed weapons need to be leveled but my concept asks if there could be an event where you could loot cheats from Special bosses that will drop chests that can level weapons.

our concepts would have had to been applied from the begining.

its much easier to create new weapons instead of back tracking and upgrading every single old to new weapon.

you can also say well lets just buff spirit weapons.
this is far more practical then both of our concepts.

the issue then becomes something like .

well how much is to much?

if we dont buff it enough it still wont be desirable. which isnt bad.

if we buff it to much it will be to desirable.

if its to desirable then people will just farm festerfang swamp and dm. this is because spirit weapon and murk token prices will increase.
