So, the long awaited Elder Scrolls online is due 2013 for PC. It is going to be based 1000 years before Skryim with the rule of Daedric Prince Molag Bal trying to bring Cyrodil to his realm.

Chickity check yo' 'self, befoe yo' wreck yo' 'self.

Yeah, but it makes me want to close the doors to society and buy a Asus Gaming laptop and order pizza every meal for the rest of my life.

Okay, carry-on.

So, it looks like it is going to be an alternative to playing on console, maybe there will also be a free demo trial?

There isnt actually a full release date apart from 2013, so it could be Early January 2013, could be December 2013. I hope a free demo is released!

I have Skyrim on my PS3, would be cool to have a PC port!

Skyrim is the most amazing game I have played, but five minute load times for a mmo is worse then having to wait for your friends to regen energy to fight together.

Just heard about this when I was lurking on the Skyrim wiki/forums. I personally loved Skyrim (have 6 characters but the farthest I got to in the main quest line is Alduins Wall) and I realized I NEED to get a better computer. My laggy, slow, handbuilt one just isnt working good enough to play TES on it. It can barely play TF2 and sometimes it lags so bad I have to shut it down.

I heard he stole some curved swords from some warriors in Hammerfell. Curved. Swords. Silly Khajit.

Never longer than 5 seconds on my PC.

Have you seen those red guards from hammerfell? They have curved swords, curved swords!

I really liked Skyrim when I played it at some friend's houses. Only reason I didn't buy it is because I don't like Single player games, with no socializing, etc. This sounds really awesome and I think I would buy it.

Skyrim is an incredibly short game without adding mods. The main quest was super easy too~ I'm just a die-hard Morrowind fan haha but I hope that this game isn't half-baked because they really have a ton of lore to really keep it going!

I'm an Oblivion Fan. Sorry. Morrowind is ehh. I hope Bethesda has planned on revising graphics and bugs in Morrowind, and re-releasing it in a few years. T'would be epic, no? :D Skyrim quest line is short, but worth $60. The main spine is short, but eventful and fun. The way to make the game longer and funner (I learned in Oblivion) is to completely stray off of the main quest line and just do side quests. And to never use a guide or computer for helping. Mods don't add way too much to the game; as far a playable content. It tweaks it. Housing, graphics, and gear. It's more to improve gameplay; rather than game length, etc.

But even the side quests are frighteningly short. The way I increased play time is by raising the difficulty and not using my best weapons and skills (80 iron arrows later....lol). Skyrim had so many broken game mechanics (let's make 5,000 iron daggers and cast Soul Trap on dead bodies!) that the glitches in Morrowind, that even though sometimes required game re-loads, never made the game easy. The main spine in Morrowind (which if you ignore the Boots of Blinding speed 5 minute completion run lol) took a satisfying amount of time. That's not to say I didn't like Skyrim, I just think it was way too short and the whole quest compass thing they implemented in Oblivion holds your hand so much. Give me my journal that actually has helpful instructions in it (Follow that White Guar pronto!)! Looking at the graphics mods people have already done for Morrowind, it'd be a piece of cake for a remake to be done, that'd be awesome. /end rant

Regardless of which game I like best, I look forward to this new one :)

If you think Skyrim is too short, just try playing it on an XBOX 360.

Oh I did play it on 360 lol, I use my friend's awesome gaming desktop to have some fun on her end game file with mods.

I do Skyrim and Oblivion on 360. And Skyrim again on PC. And aha, Oblivion, was by far, the best lol. It wasn't hold your hand, it was barely even guided (I know, I have 3429 save files and over a thousand hours of game play. Cyrodiil is amazing. And I thought the Nirnroot quests, although small, were an amazing implementation. It was a side quest that was always running.

The only thing I HATE with a fiery passion, is the fact that Acrobatics were not included in Skyrim. I can't say I was happy with that decision Bethesda made.

I made a spell that makes people's pants catch on fire in Oblivion >_>

It's not just the mods, waiting 3-5 minutes between every scene change really extends the game time ;)
