So today in DL I was asked what map makes you the most gold. I let him know of a map I like to farm for gold and pink gem drops. Then I told him that playing solo will yeild you much more gold.
Then he asked me this, doesnt playing multi player games have a higher rate for drops? I told him im not sure I though the rate of drops was the same.

So now my question is... Is pink drop rate different solo vs multiplayer?

Yes soloing yeilds you more gold. When you play multiplayer all gold made off of kills, boxes are split two or three ways . When you play solo all gold goes too you.

No, the gold is split in PL too.

Solo definitely gives you more gold, the less players around you collecting gold the better.

I am pretty sure pink drops are the same in multiplayer as it is solo.
I've had the same luck on solo runs as I've had playing with others.
I'd like to think that you get all the chance of getting a pink drop if you run solo,
but I really don't think it works that way :/

For what it's worth, I seem to get more ghosts in multiplayer, at least 1 a run and 2 in 1 dungeon quite often.

Ghost a rare spawn just like pinks are a rare drop. I realy dont think playing solo vs multiplayer changes your chances in any way. Ive gottan 4 ghost on one map and it was a solo run. Its all got too do with luck.

Yes, most of my pinks have come from ghosts.
When you do runs break everything! Desks, candles, plants, trash bags everything. They can all spawn ghosts and ghosts are special :)
