During highschool, I doodled what would become "The Adventures of Fred and Mike" featuring my two Real life friends that I graduated with, coming across troubles with famous horror movie icons, and other cameos such as the south park cast. Bunch of adult humor, so it's not something that I'd ever post on these forums as it also includes adult language. Still, it's funny stuff that also pokes fun at the personalities of the Hispanic NYC community around my age.

Anyways, I've tried revamping it two other times, but have yet to find a drawing style that fits the theme of the comic. It's meant to be cartoony, but I just want to be able to fit it to a style that fits.

What are your favorite drawing styles? If needed, I can also post pictures of the paper version of the comic, but I'll blur out the text. That way you can get a better idea on what I'm working with, without my breaking any forum rules.

That's a rough draft and will not be the style for the comic, but shows that it's meant to be cartoony in style

my favorite web comics have to be Cyanide and Happiness.
The simplicity of the drawings with the crude humor is just perfect.

But if you're going for a more..racial..humor...maybe draw it like the Boondocks?

Boondocks style sounds perfect actually haha. It's going to involve that kind of humor, but I want it to have a kind of mature look to it while attaining the cartoon factor. Still open to more suggestions!

It's as simple as naming a cartoon that you feel would fit the comic

Cyanide and Happiness.

Those two + xkcd = my life completed.

Can't think of any that would fit, as I don't really look at anything else. Sorry red :(

That's too light hearted =T I settled for the boondocks style. Here's a before and after

damn dude, I love it. Love the little up-smirk you gave to Fred, and the calm/collected, yet annoyed look of Mike.

Nailed the Boondocks characters/look. Good job.

Thanks man. Like I said before, you really nailed it with the boondocks suggestion.
