The Arcane Anglers Fishing Derby event runs for two weeks starting June 17th!

Visit Nevius in Windmoore town to pick up a fishing rod and some bait, then head over to Basilisk Basin to join in the fun!

+ Use bait to cast your rod in Basilisk Basin. Purchase additional bait from Nevius.
+ After making a cast with your fishing rod, play a mini-game to capture fish. Lose the game, the fish gets away.

Objective: the Bobber is in the middle of the Target Circle when the Timer runs out
+ Tap the 'TAP' button to raise the Bobber into the target circle.
+ If the Bobber is in the target circle when the timer expires, you win!
+ If the Bobber is not in the target circle when the timer expires, the fish gets away.

"BALANCE"

Objective: the Needle is in the middle of the Range when the Timer runs out
+ Tap the left or right side 'TAP' buttons to push the Needle towards the center.
+ Continue tapping either button to keep the Needle in the center of the Range.
+ If the needle is in the center when the Timer runs out, you win!
+ If the needle is not in the center of the Range when the Timer runs out, the fish gets away.

"WHACK-A-FIN"

How to play: WHACK -A-FIN

Objective: tap the Fish Icon and fill the Progress Bar to maximum before the Timer runs out
+ A field of nine (9) squares will appear when this mini-game activates.
+ Above the field of squares you will also see a red Progress Bar.
+ Like all other mini-games, there is a Timer at the top of the screen.
+ Tap on the Fish Icon to fill the Progress Bar.
+ Avoid tapping on the empty icons... tapping on these will cause the Progress Bar to shrink!
+ If the Progress Bar is full when the Timer expires, you win!
+ If the Progress Bar is not full when the Timer expires, the fish gets away.

LEADERBOARD and REWARDS

+ Event points are awarded each time you catch a fish.
+ This Leaderboard Event does not require Energy to play (only a rod and bait, which can be purchased for gold).
+ Arlor's Top 10 Anglers will get the 2021 Golden Fish Trophy to showcase in their houses along with the 2021 Arcane Angler's vanity banner.

FISHING Details

- When equipped, your Fishing Rod will show you the amount of Bait that you have left. When you run out of Bait, you'll need to buy more from Nevius.

- A 'rare fish region' will sometimes appear in Basilisk Basin. When it does, fish in that area for a chance to catch the most rare fish and the event crates.

- The 'rare fish region' will disappear after a few minutes and reappear somewhere else after some period of time.

Event Crates and Crafting

There are 2 event crates you can collect by fishing in rare regions during the event:

The Pirate's Purse contains gold, platinum, jewels and elixirs. You could win a little, or a lot (up to 12,000 gold or 25 platinum). Let's hope your pirates were successful in finding their booty!
Unlocked - free to open!

The Pirate King's Coffers contains some impressive loot indeed!
Locked - requiring 5 Platinum to open.

Open these for a chance to collect Arcane Death Engine weapons and armor, gold up to 100,000, platinum up to 150, along with the recipes for a variety of fish oil elixirs that can be crafted from the fish you catch!

These elixirs will grant temporary buffs to boost your power, XP, and more when you return to Arlor!

Tame Terracuda Fish Oil will give you +50% Damage for 10 minutes.
Enraged Terracuda Fish Oil gives +75% Damage for 5 minutes.
Octosyn Fish Oil will give you 2X Experience for 10 minutes.
Mindwarp Octosyn gives you 3X Experience for 5 minutes.

These 'burst' Elixirs all stack, and they all count down everywhere - so use them strategically to get the most out of their effects.

It's overall as separate Class leaderboards don't make sense for this.
Top 10 get a banner and a trophy, and there are special prizes for the #1 Angler (Title, Fish Plaque... that sings).

I enjoy seeing new events, definitely spices up the game but from an LB standpoint it seems a bit odd. A 2 week event and its only a top 10 overall LB? The rewards are cool and I like the banner, but for a small event being a 2 week one with only top 10 overall rewards it seems a bit tryhard. I could see a 1 week event being a top 10 overall with top 1 reward, but I feel like 2 week should be like racing event and be top 50 overall with a top 10 reward being different. Just my opinion. Love seeing new content though excited to see how it plays

@cinco you should add a fish and chips shop. Where you can order some fish n chips that when consumed will buff you. Have a salt n vinegar elixir and also other sauce elixir for boosts, and have fish tokens to purchase vanities and better rods for better odds like a silver, gold, platinum fishing rod. All available at Ye Olde Fish and Chip Shoppe.

I love the idea of this event, fishing was always something i thought it would be a nice feature to this game. Maybe it could be implemented into actual towns or maps that contain water sources in the future, with some rewards like you get with kragg cannons with maybe a chance of getting fishing related vanities and fish that could be consumed for small buffs. That would be super cool.

You can get Bait for either gold or Platinum from the vendor.

You can also loot Bait from Bosses (5 level range).

I buy plat but I'm not an abnormal farmer. I do farm normally and even craft my jewels and awakenings too. I also use my plat to help other players as well as the developers. 🙂

Don't know if it is because of ping but even when i get get the arrow or potion on the mark on mini game i still don't get anything most of the time. I keep the arrow on green and potion on the circle but when time is up, the timer circles again 2 times and i don't get anything. Btw my ping is yellow.

The game aren't working well with all servers Ive been doing the right things needed in the game and the timer go back or the hitting fish different position I hit fast af but timer go faster but the fish don't spawn fast it's really need a fix... By that is (fixing servers) only people with good info that have 200-150-100-to 50 or 30 can survive and play the event ... Well that's the truth I'm sharing my and all players opinion fix the servers or just fix the game actually doing what the game want sometimes and the timer go back it's only cuz server or in app bug .. fix this thanks sts

Bobber and Balance won't give me anything randomly even it was perfect success.
Whack a fin, it looks like you have to hit 5 fish and just wait until time is done. If you hit 6th because you have time left, you fail somehow.

Tapping fish game is bugged even after the fix. Once you fill up the bar and click more fish, the timer goes into hyper mode and you'll lose the fish. The trick is to click 5 fish and stop, that seems to be working for me until they fix it! It also happens with the floaty bob game sometimes, can't do anything about that one lol.

I mean I don't really feel this event should be 2 weeks would rather have an event that u can make something out of for 2 weeks recipe is not lootable and the event gives not even good rewards I got 7k points and I made 0 gold out of this event so far would be nice if you could fish a recipe from the ocean or something or u can get recipe from vendor you have to pay fishes to get them for example the highest recipe u need 10/15 coe to buy it something like that or remove the recipes @cinco so far i see it as a waste of 2 weeks event sorry to say that but its just my opinion

But please release the elixirs in other way at least xp ones.I fully agree with this. the elixers need to be much more easily obtainable to make it worth runing the event. the unique elixers are really nice but in short it's impossible to obtain them. I mean it's great the 3x XP elixer to increase players to hit endgame what is the overall goal but the elixers last for say 5-10mins but to obtain it for a non plat user would prob take the entire 2 weeks to get one if it's even possible. Not likely to get tho. there needs to be some form of enticement for players to spend 2 weeks grinding fishing. At the current standard it's not worth doing when it comes to gold you can farm dm and Val gates and make a minimum effort and make 10/20x more gold than you can get from opening the fish boxes and the purses I opened a few for a chances of plat from them I'm better off opening plat eggs would save me alot of gold. next there's no point in the lock pirate chests as you are better off spending 15 plat and getting 3 pulls. I think event needs adjustments,
Following adjustments are suggested
We can have rare fisherman who spawn every hour for 2mins who lets you craft recipes
Like mythic recipe = 10x Coe Fish, 10xGlobber fish and 30k gold
Arcane recipe = any mythic fish recipe + 20x coe fish + 20x Globber Fish
And 55k gold
Coz I believe there is not much tradeoff fishing, amount of time I invest in fish if I invest anywhere I can make more money. Now you will say this event is just casual event not meant for making money. People will need gold for new expansion as new gears will be hell a expensive.

My ping is fine, the controls are sluggish. 1 fish caught per 10 baits. 1 bait per boss. Meh. Meh. Meh. At least Sirscamsalot has an actual loot worth a million. As a gold sink very unsatisfactory. 2 weeks of this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

it doesnt want me tapping a button when the timer hits 0 or it bugs out.

its not ping or connection... im sitting here with a 115 ping on a Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro Running Android v.11

These elixirs are OP on another level, sad that they can only be obtained by using platinum. They’re arcane too so im guessing they’re going to be extremely rare and will be really expensive in CS. *sigh* just when I thought this year’s Temple Event will be fun because so many people geared up and are pretty close in gears, a curveball gets thrown that immediately gives plat users and the ultra rich major advantages :/, us normal farmers can’t even prepare bruh.

Well honestly I think that this event kind of gave us space to chill, many RPGs got fishing implemented as a part of the game, not just an event.

the goal is not for it to be dead in the center. try pressing twice and balancing it for the full length of the green. if you do the full length of the green and not just the very center, you won’t lose.

+ Tap the left or right side 'TAP' buttons to push the Needle towards the center.
+ Continue tapping either button to keep the Needle in the center of the Range.

+ If the needle is not in the center of the Range when the Timer runs out, the fish gets away.

Try putting the needle in the center a half second before timer runs out then dont hit another button. This has been working for me about 8 out 10 tries.

the center is green. it didn’t specifically say DEAD center. everyone thinks that’s what it means but it doesn’t specifically say that.
regardless, i gave you my fail safe tip that will get you every fish, every time. take it or leave it

Can i have a fishing game in my house to pass the time, so i can keep using the fishing rod....bait still costs gold...but rewards are extremely scarce....and limit to common elixers.

I am among top 10 winner for this event. Really enjoyed the event and challenges between player to too 10. I got some recipes and ingredients to craft elixer, but I can't crafts any elixir now because event already end. Could you please give us enough time to craft it first, these elixer also our rewards for times spend, almost 12 hours every day spend during event. I got some more recipes and ingredients to craft.
