Yet 2 games haven't had updates in almost 6 months?
Thoughts

I read on an online blog it's scheduled for an autumn release.

Personally I will be very disappointed if a new game is released before SL has a proper content update. STS already has 3 great games why not focus on improving the existing games before adding additional ones. From what we know so far the new game sounds very similar to PL. It seems like it would make more sense to roll some of the new features into a revamped PL as opposed to creating a new game that could split the community.

As a dedicated SL player I've been feeling rather abandoned. The excuse was always they are working on DL and that's fine, there is only so many hours in a day. But now there is a fourth game? It does seem that the number of developers is growing and it was great to see forum post from the leads on each of the team. Hopefully an additional game will not mean further content delays for the existing ones. Activity in SL/PL has been declining recently and I fail to see how another game could make this any better.

For me personally I do not like dark legends and I'm excited about this new game it just sounds like a lot going on for a company that is plagued with delays and how much fiscally they are putting out into the development of content.
More is not always necessarily better!

Your Joking?!

I think we have to be fair and not always be so black and white and jump to conclusions, but I do know making threats about leaving the game will get the thread locked and that is not what I want which is an open dialog.
My opinion has already been stated.

Well if they don't make a new game so soon they wouldn't have to push updates back. ?

Although we might not always agree Moddred, I share your concerns. But Sam and JustG assured that the other games will have their own development team working on them.

This is what Sam posted to a similar concern...

Wow, a new game already! The gameplay sounds great, but I wish PL would sound just as exciting. I suppose the new game is for more serious gamers, while PL is casual.

According to a website :

http://www.blogcdn.com/massively.joystiq.com/media/2012/05/arcane-1337712290.jpg

While we knew it was coming, it is still nice to get official confirmation: Spacetime Studios has announced Arcane Legends, its latest MMO for iOS, Android, and Chrome.

With Arcane Legends, Spacetime Studios is going back to its fantasy roots. Instead of Pocket Legends' more traditional MMO combat, however, Arcane Legends will feature action combat full of combos and button-mashing. During the combat, a rage meter will allow players to activate powerful abilities when it's completely full.

The three classes announced for the game are the Warrior, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Arcane Legends will support both co-op and PvP gameplay.

CEO Gary Gattis thinks that Arcane Legends is different enough from previous Spacetime endeavors to justify its development: "With every Legends title we are focused on bringing something distinct to cross-platform gaming. With Arcane Legends we set out to create an action RPG with a clever and funny story, meaningful multiplayer gameplay and above all furious fast-paced tactical combat."

Massively will be getting its first look at Arcane Legends at E3 next month.

But in the same breath wasn't the reason for the Pocket legends level cap delay because that person had to be taken off the game to help finish Dark legends?
This information is factual

I would find it upsetting if they started a new game again before releasing more updates. I am guessing that making new games generates more revenue/growth than updating existing ones, if they keep doing it.

That being said, it does sound like each game will have their own team as STS expands.

I kind of enjoy adding another game that I can love to my Ipod. I mean yeah, PL will always be the game for me, and yeah sure, I may end up spending even more money here and there. STS will give AL a different touch and gameplay to it aside from PL. Haa, I remember when the team consisted of about 5 or 6 workers at STS about two years ago. Good times.
