Hey, I made a post about this in another thread but its been weeks since then, but I had an idea that my guild has already implemented, but how does a guild council sound? How it works would be like 3 or 6 Players including the Guild Master, who would serve as the Council head as he/she is Guild Master. Each member to the Council would be given specific duties and each guild can interact with one another via their individual Guild Councils. I will explain further by using my guild as an example. we have a near completed council system with our GM running as head of the Council, while me and two other Members of the Council have three specific areas of interest to control. I currently Serve as a Dispute handler/Peacekeeper, making sure that any arguments don't get out of hand. While another member handles the Lvling of newer players. Showing them the Ropes (This can be changed to something else if STS or you guys so desire to do so) While another player handles Guild Relations with other Guilds, Either giving us Friends or Enemies. (The Enemies part can be removed if need be) Thereby making a successful guild Council.

If anyone has any Suggestion on what could be Done with this then please, I implore you to add on to the discussion. and if you have any Questions then please ask.

On a side note if you want to ask me anything in person about this idea or any others i might have in the future then find/add my Main: Kainlegacy.
My Guild is the BlackStar Black Ops.
And as another side note please don't flame, or do anything generaly related to being rude, hateful, or, for a lack of better, words Mean and cruel.

I like the idea of a more complex officer system.

too complicated, and wats a peacekeeper gonna do? talk and thats it?
wat i would recommend is a guild bank not like the one now, but one in which you could store a few k's for ur guild and u need permission from the person that put in the money to take it out

This suggestion, good or not-so-good, raises the question of a more complex guild managing system we were asking looooong ago...

More people 'in charge' will surely help as a GM, so the guild generally

There were several ideas about 'leutenants' and 'co-masters' and generally wider specter of guild ranks

This will lead to deeper social part of gameplay as well as more motivation for guild members to do something useful for a guild.. Now, as soon as a member joins, I rank him up to 'recruiter' coz otherwise he's kinda useless.. After he proves himself and his loyalty, I rank him up to the 'officer'... And... That's all I (or any GM) can do..

Concerning the very suggestion - co-leaders can be whoever they want (or need) to be - peacemakers or armory masters.. The point is we need it to be programmed! And the more positions in guild there will be - the better!!

This is not that hard I guess - to repeat the code lines so we could rank up not 3, but 15 times. And variables such as 'ranks' could be taken from fleet (navy) ranking system

UPD

And if STS will put more 'coding powa' into the guild system, then we could have more complex abilities for the officers and other guildies. I see it like 4 leveled members system:

1) only GM or co-leaders can boot

2) high class officers can promote and demote

3) medium class officers can only promote (and this should be approved by leaders)

4) junior class can only recruit

Plese note, that each 'class' includes several ranks, making a ladder of 12-16 ranks total

Exactly. the main point I'm attempting to make is to create a more sociable environment, hence why i suggested the ability of cross guild alliances.

As for the Disputes, we had a major issue that nearly ended in mass guild quitting. i took the liberty to boot said person and then we formed our little council system. as for guild stealing... that hasn't happened at all in our guild. also as of now there are only 6 ppl in our council including me, it took us a week to star it with three trustworthy officers who are on fairly enough.

And thank you all for your support and comments on the subject.

How will this protect against the alarming rise in guild stealing?

How many fights arise that need mediation in your guild? This a common problem?

Well. If it works for your guilds then great, sounds overly complicated to me lol.

My guild, *cough EBS cough* works like this, I'm the Supreme GM while my 11 Officers are treated as and are the active Guild Masters while I am offline doing real life sugar.
We don't use an officer and recruitment system for this to work.

But yeah, it will be a handy feature for the guilds and GM to have if sts implement this, but imo I personally don't think they have the energy or time to implement such a feature. Good idea. :-)

WHA?

Guild stealing? How is that possible? With timely GMs?

And how many've been stolen?

I never heard of this.. Mass booting - yes.. But stealing a guild?

Why do members continue to be in such guild? This is a total dishonor for those who stay in a stolen guild

The members become abducted as well.
