OMG, Really a new game already!?!?!

Seeing as many are thinking this will rival Pocket legends I wanted to assemble this as a reference to all talks of AL.
This is ment to help you understand that AL is a completely NEW game. So ill update this as news becomes available.

Stay up to date with Arcane Legends news on the web at www.ArcaneLegendsGame.com (http://www.arcanelegendsgame.com) and on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/arcanelegends).

Where is AL? thought it was going to be in August?!?!?

Probably sliding out a little bit from August as we work to make it the most awesome that it can be.

Update :Aug-27-2012--->yea, still in development....but in dont stop there, the following commercial is brought to you by the letter "S, and the letter P, and the letter D"

Hey gang,

We know that people would like to hear more about Arcane Legends - but we're still working away on it. Expect more later this fall. In the meantime, we are doing some user testing (did you see the pic of the latest user test on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151187217139052&set=a.10150701202749052.461205.156276619051&type=1&theater)?) to make sure what we're building goes over and plays well. Also, check out the latest concept art on the Arcane Legends Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/arcanelegends) page.

However, work on Arcane Legends is definitely not slowing down our development of other Spacetime Studios games. We have the new level cap raise and 2 new campaigns (and more) for Dark Legends in final testing now - look for it to go live later this week. Star Legends level cap and new content probably coming out the following week (again, depending on testing and final polish) with a first look at the level cap (a new zone) for Pocket Legends not far behind that. Oh, and you are hearing this here first - double XP weekend for Star Legends and Pocket Legends on for this long Labor Day weekend!

Update #2 :Sep-13-2012--->yea, still in development....

We know there has been a lot of speculation around when exactly Arcane Legends, the newest addition to Spacetime Studios' mobile and desktop Legends franchise, would actually be available for play. We're not ready to announce a specific launch date, but we do want to let you know that we are holding the title a bit longer to cram more awesome into it. This includes a exciting new major feature never before seen in previous Legends titles. We will have more details about this new feature, along with a bit more visibility on the timing of launch, out soon.

To stay up to date with all the latest news as it happens, follow Arcane Legends on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/arcanelegends). You can also check out a pile of concept art from the game there too!

Thanks for your patience and your support!

Update #3 :Oct-15-2012--->http://www.aristogamer.net/2012/10/arcane-legends-preview.html?m=1
now its slated to be released early to mid november...hear podcast in link

Update :PROSPECT OF A BETA Oct 19 E-Mail

Pets play a large role in the game, but they're not just Pokemon ripoffs. As in the rest of the Legends worlds, everything has a familiar look and feel but with a twist. Pets are no different. There is a turtle with a flag planted on its back that gives speed buffs and a frog with elf-like ears who does a pretty good job in combat. All of the pets aid players by picking up loot along the way. It's all wrapped up in a fantastically simple, intuitive, and well-designed package that guarantees the studio's biggest hit yet. I loved playing it, and I especially enjoyed the fact that this latest title finally feels so much like a "normal" MMO that no one should notice any difference.

Earlier this week we put a teaser out on Facebook hinting at the prospect of a beta test for Arcane Legends.
here is the pic:

18557

At this point, we're pretty sure we'll do a beta. It should really help to gather additional feedback about gameplay and balance before the full release of the game. More polish and better balance is always good, right? Rest assured that those of you who have taken the time to sign up for email updates will be among the first to know the details when we do kick off a beta test.

Is this a Pocket legends 2?!?!?!

Arcane Legends, while "fantasy" in nature, isn't the same or a replacement for Pocket Legends. We will have more details as we get closer to the fall release date that will exemplify the differences.

CEO Gary Gattis thinks that Arcane Legends is different enough from previous Spacetime endeavors to justify its development: "With every Legends title we are focused on bringing something distinct to cross-platform gaming. With Arcane Legends we set out to create an action RPG with a clever and funny story, meaningful multiplayer gameplay and above all furious fast-paced tactical combat."

Will we Lose support to other StS titles?

We're working hard to not only bring exciting new titles to market but to continue rolling out awesome content to our existing titles. Check out the latest posts by the Lead Designers for each title:
Star Legends: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?58498-Meet-Gibber-Lead-Designer-for-Star-Legends

Pocket Legends: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?58497-Techno-Email-Pocket-Legends-Lead-Designer-!

From another posting

Lots (and lots) of updates coming, and will be here long before AL ships!

What will be in it...Doggies or puppies or fluffy things that make purdy sounds?!?

Nope. Warriors, Rogues and Sorcerers aren't really Thugs, Gunslingers and ConMen that you'd expect for a Western theme'd game.

Whats the play style?

There is one unique feature about class abilities and that is, when you are partied up with other players, you will be able to combine abilities to unlock massive combos. As you level up you will be able to also specialize in certain skills for further character customization.

we didnt now about this sooner?!?! what happend?!?!

Spacetime Studios is working on a fourth title for its popular mobile MMO library, filing a trademark that has since been approved. The application for a U.S. federal trademark was submitted on April 5th and was given the thumbs up May 10th.

When is our first preview. I want proof that it will be different!

OP (May 22nd 2012 3:30PM)...Massively will be getting its first look at Arcane Legends at E3 next month. (So in June to be clear)

Will it work on my phone? -Sorry to many to list, specs, type, Maker ect...ect...

Sorry guys, to stay competitive we need to keep upping the bar and that means pushing what can be done on a phone. The pace of technology is rapid - new phones are way more powerful than what was available just a year or two ago. People want awesome visuals and that isn't possible on lower end devices, sorry.

We had our first hang out about Dl...here are some highlight from Cinco *Thz Morfic*

Recap of hangout May 24, 2012:

WHat happed at E3 whats the news...HERE IT IS massively.joystiq.com (http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/06/06/e3-2012-spacetime-studios-demos-another-smash-legends-hit/)

If you're a fan of Spacetime Studios' mobile MMO Pocket Legends or any of its brethren, you're in for a treat. The studio's next installment in the series, Arcane Legends, promises to deliver more of what all gamers crave: a standard hack-n-slash dungeon crawler feel, with more weapons, more environments, more lore, and more of just plain ol' fun. For free.

Players who haven't experienced any of the Legend series will find it familiar, yet entertaining. Spacetime flagships that their company is entirely dedicated to gaming software on all platforms. Pocket Legends was their first foray into the market, and thus was born Star Legends and Dark Legends, each with its own style and flair. Arcane Legends delivers more of what the previous titles offer.

I was able to sit down with Fernando Blanco, Director of Marketing, at E3 to see a demo for the game, which they showcased on two tablets -- including a Kindle Fire. It was quite impressive.

"We've essentially built up a best-practices of game design in Arcane." Fernando Blanco told me during our interview. "We took what people really liked from Dark, we took what people really liked from Star, and we combined them."

The game stays true to the original formula by giving players a choice of three classes: a warrior, a rogue, and one cool-looking sorcerer. Immediately there was a noticeable improvement in the visual quality of the game. Textures, polygons, and environments were more lush and alive. Hanging banners literally swayed in the wind. Action animations combined polygonal graphics and cel-shaded graphics to give it a more animated feel. The lighting was certainly more dynamic and vibrant than the previous titles.

Charge attacks and combos have returned to Arcane to give a more rounded action experience. Auto-attack was removed, so no more click-and-wait mechanics. Spacetime kept the same control style with the virtual joystick -- if it's not broken, don't fix it. Along with these changes are inclusions of more special items, rare drops, and enough quests in the world to satisfy the casual and even hardcore gamer. Destructible environments are included, so if you hate tables, kegs, and chairs, feel free to destroy all the wooden creations in the game to your heart's content.

What's refreshing to see is that there is more story to the newcomer than the previous titles. What often can suffer in mobile MMO games is the lack of story, and Spacetime is planning to reveal their game story in chapters.

"This game starts with the story of a dark wizard who had found a way to open dark portals to different places." Fernando tells us. "These portals are bringing in goblins, orcs, and so forth. Your adventure starts in your hometown which is being overrun by these goblics, orcs, and other bads. You make friends, you're exposed to more of the content, and eventually you make your way to fight the dark wizard. I don't know if that will happen at launch, I think it will be a progression. The first chapter is getting out of your hometown and the initial areas."

The demo I saw was quite responsive, as I could see one's character action on one tablet almost immediately repeated on another. The two tablets were tethered to an iPad 3, so the expected level of delay wasn't present at all.

To add to that, the artificial intelligence was boosted. Enemies will try to dodge your attacks instead of taking damage like a table, keg, or chair would. Other ranged enemies, such as casters, will hang in the back and avoid your character at all costs. Every interaction with the enemies just felt dynamic. The game's mechanics are more realistic and solid than the previous installments, and it's clear Spacetime learns from every game they create.

When the presentation was done, I touched on some previous limitations from the original Legends titles:

Massively: I've read that users of the previous titles weren't satisfied much with the very closed environments. They were tired of going to small room after room after room. Will there be more open environments to the game?

Fernando: Yes. A lot more. There's always that itch of players who like the dungeon crawling and they like interior spaces, but there's also the appeal of being able to walk from this town to this town and having it be unbroken, not just 'I walk through a portal and I'm in that other town.'

Will there be any transfers of items or currency between games?

If you have a DL or PL account, you'll start off with an Arcane account. We're looking into other benefits with having a cross-lined account. One of the things we wanted to do initially was have your purchases cross games. This was our belief from the inception that if you purchased platinum from Spacetime, you should be able to utilize it in any Spacetime game. Unfortunately, if a user pays a certain amount on a storefront, that currency has to be locked to that storefront.

Did you have any closing comments you wanted to leave for readers?

We love you guys! We'd love to continue to share with you guys some of the pieces with the ongoing development. I think they're really going to enjoy this one because it has all the action from DL, but it has all the fantasy from PL. It merges a lot of the great elements together. It's going to be faster and more fun than a lot of what's been out there before.

Arcane does have a higher system requirement than the previous installments. If you're a mobile user running some of the latest hardware, then you'll have no problem running Arcane. Smartphones and tablets should run the game just fine. Arcane Legends is slated for an August release. It will, to everyone's delight, still be free.

Thank you for your time!

I want to know what happend at E3....http://www.technologytell.com/apple/97184/e3-2012-spacetime-studios-shows-off-arcane-legends/ and another link http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/arcane-legends-hands-on-preview and one more just becuse http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/End-of-Nations/news/E3-2012-OnRPGMMOHut-Day-1-Recap

Before the doors for the E3 show floor opened this morning, I sat down to spend some time with Fernando Blanco, director of marketing at Spacetime Studios. Spacetime is the developer of the Legends series of tablet and browser based MMOs: fantasy Pocket Legends, sci-fi Star Legends and horror Dark Legends. This morning, they showed off the recently announced Arcane Legends.

11923

In their canon of games, Arcane Legends most closely resembles Pocket Legends, but is a bit more serious. Gamers will be able to play as a warrior (the tank), rogue (melee fighter) or sorcerer (ranged attacks and health), and team up to go on various quests. Unlike many MMOs, Arcane Legends does not use auto attack for battles, but requires the player to tap on an attack button. Holding the button will launch a more powerful attack, an effect carried over to the various skill attack buttons available. Although many skill attacks can be acquired, only four can be assigned at a time, keeping the UI nice and clean. Players will also tap the health button to remain in battle, provided there’s any health available.

11924

If they do die, players can determine how to return after being killed. Instead of just starting off back at the inn (the wonderfully named “The Slurred King”), dead players can pay to return right back at the battle, and even pay a little more to return with a temporary power boost (15 seconds of invulnerability); perfect for defeating a troublesome boss.

The enemy AI is also a bit smarter than you’ll find in many MMOs. Enemy archers, for example, are smart enough to pull away from your melee fighters to avoid damage while still landing their own. It’s therefore a good idea to go on quests with a diverse party of players.

11925

Spacetime is targeting a late August / early September release, and are attempting a simultaneous iOS, Android, Google Chrome launch (the game is played on the same server despite the device, so iOS gamers can join up with Google Chrome players, for example). The game will be free to play, with micro transactions available for vanity equipment and enhancements. 20 levels will be available at launch with an additional 10 to 20 levels available by year end.

Remember to follow us on Twitter, as we’ll be giving away a pair of headphones each day of the expo, as well as tweeting free promo codes for various iOS games throughout the show.

E3-2012-OnRPGMMOHut-Day-1-Recap[/URL]]A theme of this convention seems to be mobile MMOs and both WeMade Entertainment and Spacetime Studios have big plans for this new sector of the MMO market. Spacetime Studios was proud to show off their more chibi LOTRO styled PC/Mobile title Arcane Legends. This felt like Pocket Legends but built up with the improvements from each of their titles so far. I was especially fond of the Dark Legends styled control scheme.

I dont have a phone...i have an iPod will it work? http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/arcane-legends-hands-on-preview

And many of our readers will be happy to know that Arcane Legends will work on older iOS devices, like the iPod Touch 2nd generation.

New details released about Spacetime Studios upcoming MMORPG called Arcane Legends
Thursday, 20 September 2012 12:12
0 0Reddit0

It has been a few months since we announced Spacetime Studios next title in their series of MMORPGs called Arcane Legends. While details have remained pretty hush hush for the most part, back then we at least knew that Spacetime Studios would be taking the best mechanics out of their previous Legends games and combining them into Arcane Legends. We now know a little bit more about this new MMORPG and have a few more screenshots to check out.

16894 16895

As of right now, the overall opinion from a lot of people, including us here at DroidGamers, is that Arcane Legends is so far the best looking title in the series both visually (falling back to their cartoon style roots) and in terms of gameplay mechanics. A lot of focus has gone into making this new Legends title more team orientated in regards to how it plays out. The AI for enemies has been improved meaning ranged attack enemies will try to stay away from players who are melee classes, so players in groups will have to adjust accordingly.

16896 16897

There are charge up attacks from Dark Legends make another appearance but there will also be quick rapid hit attacks as well. There is also a new combo attack system where players can combine powers with other team members to unleash massive damage attacks. Also the in-game purchasing system has been modified, allowing things like re-speccing your character should you not agree with what the game hands you in terms of starting stats, something you used to have to pay for. The majority of the in-game purchases will apparently be geared towards vanity items and non-essential items. Anything that is essential for the game will be available naturally as you play.

All of this we already knew from early information released by Spacetime Studios. However, we now know that there will be an entire pet system implemented into Arcane Legends. Pets will not only affect the customization of your characters, but also how combat plays out as these pet will be able to participate in battles as well as providing unique bonuses such as buffing allies and gathering loot. This also means that there will be different abilities for each pet and different types of pet classes, although how deep this new pet system goes remains to be seen. There will be over 40 pets available to find when Arcane Legends launches with more being added in future updates.

Right now Arcane Legends is still slated for release before the end of this year but if it follows the pattern the previous game releases had, Arcane Legends could be available as soon as next month. You can check out the full press release below for further detail.

Spacetime Studios’ Arcane Legends Introduces Battle Pet Companions

AUSTIN, Texas – Sept. 20, 2012 –

Arcane Legends, the upcoming swords-and-sorcery, action-adventure title from mobile MMO leader Spacetime Studios, delivers a new and meaningful pet system that significantly deepens the game’s combat mechanics and character development.
In the world of Arlor, the setting for Arcane Legends, players will collect a stable full of magical and ferocious pets to aid in their adventures. These powerful companions are not just cosmetic collectibles or a trivial side game. Each pet fills a crucial role by engaging in combat, performing various actions based on their skill sets and granting a unique bonus. Pets also increase in power as a player progresses through the game.

Players need to weigh the merits of each pet’s combat abilities and bonuses to determine which one fits their play style. Companions do anything from attacking enemies to party support like buffing allies and gathering loot. For instance, dragon pets soar around his master, swoop down on enemies and blast them with arcane fire-balls while providing fire-protection.

There will be approximately 40 pets with a wide variety of behaviors and skills at launch. The Spacetime team plans to introduce a steady stream of additional pets in future expansions similar to their live update activities in the other Legends games.

"The inclusion of a meaningful and fully interactive pet system is a major step for the mobile MMO genre," said Gary Gattis, CEO, Spacetime Studios. "We set out to create an emotional relationship with a significant gameplay mechanic. In Arcane Legends, pets are a major aspect of the character’s identity, growth and capabilities."

The previous Legends titles -- fantasy Pocket Legends, sci-fi Star Legends and horror Dark Legends -- have been downloaded more than nine million times, making it the world’s largest cross-platform mobile/desktop MMO franchise.

Hey everyone! Ready for the weekend?

Before you go get your party started, take a look at this awesome sneak peek inside Arcane Legends!

Is there a video? yea, now there is. 10-9-2012

Take a look at the video and then vote in the poll!

Arcane Legends Cinematic Trailer on G4TV

http://www.g4tv.com/videos/61095/arcane-legends-cinematic-trailer/

Pets?!?!?! whats the deal with pets.

You know what the world of mobile fantasy MMO's has been missing? Pets. You know what Arcane Legends offers that no other mobile fantasy MMO offers? You're dang right, it's pets! Developer Spacetime Studios today announced that their upcoming game will feature some critter companions in a “meaningful pet system that significantly deepens the game's combat mechanics and character development.

Neither a release date nor a price point have been revealed for Arcane Legends, but we can at least rest assured in the knowledge that our next adventure into the world of epic fantasy will be with magical and ferocious bet at our side. According to Spacetime's pet-centric announcemtn, these lil fellas won't just be a cosmetic collectable, but they'll also engage in combat and perform various actions based on their skill sets and unique bonuses. They'll level up alongside the player, taking on the role of everything from roasting baddies to granting buffs or gathering loot. Kind of like Pokemon, the trick will be knowing which pet will best suit a given situation.

“The inclusion of a meaningful and fully interactive pet system is a major step for the mobile MMO genre,” said Spacetime CEO Gary Gattis. “We set out to create an emotional relationship with a significant gameplay mechanic. In Arcane Legends, pets are a major aspect of a character's identity, growth and capabilities.”

But you don't have to be worried about being tied down to just one Old Yeller while adventuring in the wilderness. Around 40 pets (complete with their own strengths and weaknesses) will be available when the game finally launches with more planned as future DLC.

So, for the time being, you might want to start thinking about some wicked-cool pet names. It looks like you're going to have quite the collection of companions to christen when Arcane Legends makes it to market.

is there a podcast? well yes there is :p

I was surfing and found this website where they have a 41 min voice interview with STS about AL. They talk about pets, PvP, release, and free roaming.

The pets they talk about are a dog, turtle, and panther. Also give you the starting bonuses the pets give you too.

They talk about the warrior having two skill trees, one called warlord (dps) and the other guardian (tank). They also said the sorcerer has a heal skill tree.

With free roaming they said you can walk out of the town follow the road and enter a combat zone.

I saved the best for last, the release date. They said STS wants to release it before Thanksgiving.

Here's the link, I suggest you listen to the whole thing I only listed a few things they chatted about.

Bugs are still being worked on

Have you ever had a dream where you show up to school and you are not wearing any clothes? Just me? Ahhh, ok I guess I'm the only person on the planet with crazy dreams! Anyway, I saw this one in the bug database for Arcane Legends, had a laugh and had to share.

Bug Description: When you equip these robes your character is naked. See screenshot.

is there an advertising Brochure?

Here's a link to the brochure if my pics don't cut it.

now there is a User Interface....but Looks like they are still working out the placement

I want to give you all a look at a feature our User Interface Team is working on. If you have played any other Spacetime Studios games, you might be familiar with Daily Rewards, Allies, Daily Deals and quests that are available every day. In our other games, you have to go into game to interact with these. In an effort to streamline the process, we're looking at adding shortcuts to these daily activities to the character select screen, so you can quickly get to them from one easy place. Here are some screenshots for you to take a look at:

Notice the "calendar" button in the upper right? Tap on this and a new button bar with daily activities flies out.
18215

Here is the daily activity fly out:
18216

This will allow you to quickly get to your Daily Allies, Daily Reward, the Daily Deal and Daily Quests. As I mentioned at the start, this is still work-in-progress, so it's likely to change. The team is still considering different button treatments, positioning, whether these daily activities are behind a "click" or present on the main UI all the time, among other things.

I sent this update out earlier today via email. If you are interested in getting email updates about Arcane Legends, please sign up at http://www.arcanelegendsgame.com.

Another thing I am wondering about. Is the Mage in Arcane legends like the Enchantress in Pocket legends? Arcane Legends looks cool. Is the turtle in the picture you sent me a pet? Can I need to buy it or does it come with your character?

Jennifer wrote in to ask us the following:

Thanks for your email Jennifer! Here are some answers for you:

Mage vs. Enchantress:
18372 VS. 18373

A Mage in Arcane Legends has powers that, like the Enchantress, can be used for damage, aoe damage or healing/support/buff/debuff. So, yes, the Mage in Arcane Legends is pretty similar to the Enchantress in Pocket Legends at a high level. When you dig into the nitty gritty, they have some differences. However, we'll save those nitty gritty details for later, ok? :D

Turtle Pet
Yes, the turtle is one of the many pets you can collect in Arcane Legends. Currently, we have 3 different pets that you can choose from when you create your character: Wolf, Panther or Turtle. Each pet has different buffs and capabilities. More on those later :D Here is a screenshot from the current Beta version, of a Warrior in the character creation process choosing their pet.

18374

Do the Pets come with your character?
As you might have guessed from reading the above, yes, your character will start with a pet. As for acquiring the other pets, there are some you can find during gameplay and some you can purchase. In the character menu there is a "Stable" tab where you can keep track of your pets. The Stable also shows you some of the pets you don't have. Here's a quick look:

I hope that helps to answer your questions and gives you more to look forward to in Arcane Legends.

During somedowntime "THANKS AMAZON :chargrined:"

Ok, since the live servers are currently down as I write this (for more on that please see this post (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?72575-Spacetime-Studios-Games-Currently-Unavailable)) I thought I'd give you a closer look at Arcane Legends. I asked in the forum chatbox (which you need to be logged into the forum to view) (http://www.spacetimestudios.com/misc.php?do=cchatbox) which class to play and most said "Mage" or "crazy little blue guy" or similar, so here we go.

To get started, here is a screenshot of my Mage with his little turtle pet, Guapo hanging out with Cedric of the Watch and his Dragon pet.

18582

I'll be posting more shortly. To jump to the next developer post click on the little STS circle icon with the arrow in the upper right corner http://www.spacetimestudios.com/images/misc/stafftracker.png

Someone in chat asked, "Who's Gustav" referring to the text in the upper right of the screenshot. That's the fly out notification for my currently selected quest. Tapping that icon in the upper right takes you to a menu where you can access your quests, goals and alerts. Very handy!

There is a big emphasis in story in Arcane Legends *Don't let the quick quest text that is displayed in that screenshot fool you.

I know you guys will have a lot of questions, so just to set expectations, I won't be able to answer everything. *Thanks in advance for your understanding :)

Ok, so I continued on my adventure and make it to level 2. *Whee! *So now that I leveled up, I have a skill point to spend, just like in our other games. *The skill system is a pretty cool on in Arcane Legends and I'll spill the beans a bit about it.

Here you see the skill page for the Mage. *This page has changed several times as we've tinkered with presentation over the course of Alpha and our internal Beta. *So, I suspect that it might change again before release.*

18583

What you see here are the 8 different skills that a lvl 2 Mage has access to spend their points in. *The cool thing about each skill is that it has 5 different ranks of advancement. *Currently, none of the ranks have dependencies. *So, rather than being a skill tree, where you have to learn the early skills before you get to the later skills, each different attribute can be increased independently. *Pretty cool!

Ok so, on with Mage skills!

To settle one question out there, yes the Mage has access to an AoE heal, similar to the Enchantress in Pocket Legends.

18584

There are 4 different skill advancements that you can choose to improve your heal with. The one I like the best is the one that adds a heal over time component for a fully charged fire off of the skill. Current other selections are: increase the range of the aoe, add mana regen to the heal and add a flat mana heal to the ability. Pretty cool, eh?

18585

Red stapeler has some moves...can you guess them?!?!

18610

RedStapler takes on Krax Wildstorm (goblin boss). The red area in a cone out front of Krax is a "tell" that he's about to lay out some hurt to anyone standing in that area. Red would be well advised to move :)

Red area aside, what do you think the 4 skills are that RedStapler has loaded up????

Let the guessing commence!

thanks Bird for pic :p

In the email i got some exclusive info about pet system in AL. The pets will have a special ability. I hope sts doesnt mind me giving out some info.

18648

Here's a pic:

Always wanted to know about a warrior...but never took the time to read it.

Today, I wanted to spread the love a bit and bring you some Warrior information. If you missed the recent updates, check out these two threads for tid bits on the Mage and Rogue

Mage thread: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?72587-Arcane-Legends-Playing-the-Dev-version-while-the-servers-are-down-Mage-info!

Rogue screenshot: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?72627-Guess-the-4-Rogue-Skills-that-RedStapler-has-on-their-bar

Enough of those classes, lets look a bit closer at ye big 'ol brute! The Warrior!

As we learned in yesterday's Mage thread, there are a lot of different ways you can build out your character, depending on how you spend your skill and stat points. You only have 4 active skill slots on your bar, so choosing which to have and how you build them out will be a big part of defining your character.

In playing around, I made my way down into a spooky mine and fought the goblins that live there, in a quest to reunite a wayward pet with his master. Here is a look at the Skyward Smash skill. One of the cool things the art team has done with Warrior skills, is transform your weapon depending on the skill. The Skyward Smash skill is a hammer BLAM! which wouldn't really make sense if you were BLAMing critters with a sword, no? So, my sword transforms into the hammer to apply the SMASHing! Take a look:

Here I am sizing up the two goblins guarding this bridge. My plan is to charge up Skyward Smash and then apply the beatdown to the left goblin as an opener to the melee.
18640

I press and hold the skill button and the skill charges up, ready for action!
18641

and I LEAP into action!
18642

BLAM!
18643

Pretty cool, eh? I don't have Skyward Smash fully slotted with skill points and there is still a decent bit of tuning going on with skills. Right now in development there are 4 different upgrades for Skyward Smash: increase the area of effect, damage increase, chance to stun and a chance to return some of the mana cost of the skill (so you can do more SMASHING!).

18645

Here is a shot of my Warrior, Grawn, standing in the Traveller's Outpost next to the portal (that allows easy Arcane travel to different locations) and the Alchemist.
18644

is there a beta? guess there was one

Don't know if anybody already knows about this, but usually I get taken to a log in screen http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff497/matutd/screenshot_2012-11-01_1752.png

hope you reserved your name... because Canadians and Australasians have a head start.

Living in Austin, as we do here at Spacetime Studios, we have access to a number of movie theaters that are almost exclusively dedicated to pre-screening films.

This means we get to see many films weeks before the rest of the country, in what’s known as “Limited Release.” An important element of the limited release is the opportunity to give feedback and improve the final product.

What does this have to do with the price of Platinum?

We are proud to announce the Limited Release of Arcane Legends! Beginning today, players in Canada and Australia may download Arcane Legends from Google Play to explore the mystical world of Arlor. As a Rogue, Warrior, or Sorcerer, they will embark on a great adventure with their loyal pet by their side.

19395

By opening up to these markets with a Limited Release, we are hoping to test the game with a larger audience and ensure game and server stability. This way, when Arcane Legends launches worldwide, we provide you with a game that’s ready for you and your friends.

Thank you for your patience during these last few weeks. We’ve been working hard to deliver you the best game possible.

We look forward to your feedback, and the upcoming worldwide release!

Thanks again!

-Your friends at Spacetime Studios

Important questions I need answered!

1: Will Arcane Legends be 17-18+ like Dark legends? Or are we back to the 13+
2: Will Arcane Legends be energy based? Please god no.
3: Will we be able to change gender?

Depends, if you purchased it within the last year or so then most likely, yes. Anything older may not be capable of running a game like that.

Oh, and you are hearing this here first - double XP weekend for Star Legends and Pocket Legends on for this long Labor Day weekend!

yea, still in development....but in dont stop there, the following commercial is brought to you by the letter "S, and the letter P, and the letter D"

Thanks Octavos! The two things I'm most looking forward to learning now are:

Will it be 17+? I hope so, it made DL much more enjoyable!
How hard will it be, especially for small teams, solo, etc.? SL is just too hard IMO and the later levels of PL also; DL seems just right so far, I can generally avoid dying except through lag/etc.

Question 1 could be answered by STS any time (hope I haven't missed the answer somewhere) but 2 will just have to wait until it comes out.

Arcane Legends is currently planned to be 13+ like Pocket Legends and Star Legends and does not have the blood, gore or mature content like Dark Legends.

I can't believe I got a warning after posting a legit question on an old post, maybe a bit more informative answers would help prevent "necro-ing"

The thread was 5-6 months old, and the answers were already available.(If searched already answered by myself; http://www.spacetimestudios.com/showthread.php?70041-Keeping-Pace-with-Technology-%96-Updates-to-the-Spacetime-Engine&p=799637&viewfull=1#post799637 )

Now you are posting a nonsensical post/rant in a thread unrelated.

Just take it as a heads up, nothing to worry about if you don't keep making the same mistakes.
