Attention devs, Memorial vanity after update

Hi Devs,

Yesterday i bought the memorial hat vanity, after a few hours of farming i got about 4 pinks. I thought the +luck works. But today, after the patch, i got nothing after half day of farming. I see several pinks are still dropping but not for people who are wearing the vanity. I talked to a friend and she mentioned about the same thing to me. Her friends even got elix for more luck but still no cigar, and thats almost whole day farming. Appreciate if you can look into it. Maybe some miscalibration somewhere or just plain removal of the +luck. Either way i know you will do what is right. And oh, we dont mind having a few days extra luck if you see fit. :chuncky:

Which maps did you farm, and are you sure that the system rerolled to give you your 4 pinks?

The rerolling. works. Hat dosnt affect luck. Just reroll chance. I rerolled a green without elixer using just that hat.

Luck enhancers have give you a % chance to re-roll loot to the next colour up. For example, with Pa's cap approximately 3 in 10 (30%) of your orange coloured drops will be re-rolled into greens. To re-roll a drop into a pink, the effect must be triggered on a purple. Mount Fang bosses don't drop any purples and thus luck enhancers of any sort will not help you get pinks.

The pinks you got before were regardless to the hats effect and solely chance and coincidence.

thanks for all the comments. that explains a bit. although knowing now that the luck is just for re-roll (and doesnt translate to +chance in getting any rare item), i dont feel so lucky with the hat anymore. oh well, at least it looks good.

If you read the Shamus Shamrock elixir's decription which is 100% luck, you will read it says '100% chance to re-roll for better loot' - self explanatory. It doesn't say the better of the 2 rolls is picked like it used to, but that you definitely roll for better which is the next colour up (provided the next colour up from the mob is available). A friend of mine used this to farm 1000s of items during Christmas and only looted purples/pinks, no green since they were all re-rolled.

True. I remember they do drop purps. Apperantly purps and trash are more rare then pinks :O

Yes. The vampires do. Not the bosses. Typically the vampires are skipped.

If you re-roll the purple hats from vampires, it becomes a tradeable pink crafting recipe.
