Level 23 and no exp in balefort castle?

I'm a level 23 and I'm not receiving any experience points in balefort castle. I looked through the forums to see if anyone else was or is having the same problem but I haven't come across anything. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have purchased the first four campaigns so I don't see why I can't level up in the castle while doing the quest for 1024 tomes.

Well, it's true. You can only gain XP up to 3 more than the highest level campaign you own. Too bad they don't have that rule in reverse, so you would never gain xp up to three levels below a campaign's level.

Thanks for your response. The 1024 tomes quest seems like a complete waste if I can't gain exp while doing it. I'm sure I am not the only one who feels this way. I spent 10 dollars on this app so I could level up and play more campaigns but now I'm regretting that I even spent money because of this. It's not like I'm being cheap or complaining about spending money, it's just really disapointing to see that I can't level up anymore in the castle even after I already bought the "required" campaign levels

I guess I am complaining about spending money lol. What I mean is that I shouldn't be restricted to gaining exp after I spend money on this game.

Thank you, that explains the reason behind it and it does make sense as to why they would do that. But on the other hand it's still disappointing. Players who spend money in my opinion should not be restricted to gaining exp. Even if the mob I'm fighting is 3 levels below my current level I would like to still gain exp even if it's a very small percentage.
