View Full Version : Big bosses. I mean BIG, BIG!

Hey guys,
I was playing with a new character during this double xp weekend, when something struck me: have you ever realised that all bosses have comparable sizes? Sure, there are smaller bosses, like Ksarr and Silknight, and bigger bosses, like Gurgox and Von Gobble. But we have yet to see enormous beasts larger than twice the player's size.
To my opinion, BIG bosses would be a cool addition to the game. Maybe for a next expansion (I don't know, a world in the sky or a volcano perhaps?), I would love to be able to fight a gigantic lava monster or elegant bird with my fellow allies and not just an oversized character with too many hit points.
Who agrees?

Yeah, Gustav is tiny compared to some end bosses in other games.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about :D

+1
That's what we need! Great suggestion! Some pretty sweet effects would be cool with the boss. Similar to how Gurgox has his Shout, this/these megabosses should have attacks with cool effects.

It would be good to have a static enourmous boss +1 for your idea.

Needs more multiple lives bosses auto-attack only bosses.
I've played against bosses where you killed one part of it, join the next room, kill the next part, then kill the final heart.

Exactly. Imagine - for example - a giant octopus boss: first defeat the eight tentacles, then attack the head.
I really do think it would improve the diversity in the game!

Eristar's temple.

Be warned though, it's almost impossible without a top crafted set. That's one seriously tough lvl :)

That's hard to tell.

Here's the thing... You can't buy a crafted set like in PL for example. You'll need to craft it yourself. Even the uncrafted set can't be traded.

Here's how it works...
1. You need to start getting all the uncrafted pieces either by farming them or buying them with real life money
2. This step is where in game gold is most needed. You need to reach master craftsman level. In order to do that, you'll need to go through 4 or 5 levels of crafting. The way it works is, you start at basic level and need to craft a lot of low level crap. All that stuff needs materials. And those materials can be either farmed (takes FOREVER), or bought with in-game gold, via something similar as CS in PL.
This needs to be repeated for all levels of crafting, until you reach master level. The total process needs A LOT of crafting and a HUGE amount of materials.
3. Then you'll need the recipes (farm or gold) and the materials (farmed or real life money, no gold option).

After that, all that's left, is to craft.

I'd say it could cost anywhere between 3000-5000 gold or so, but I can't guarantee that's an exact number :)
