Well, I dropped a bit of water on my iPod.
An hour later, the volume bar disappeared, along with all sound.
I searched the problem online and people said to try to dry off the earphone jack/dock connector, as there was probably water/dust/etc. inside my dock connector/jack, making the iPod believe that it was connected to a speaker and therefore removed the volume controls.
I did this, and the volume bar and sound came back.
However, a few minutes later, the same problem occurred.
Is there a way to solve this problem without bringing the iPod to the Apple store? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
