Design My Sig - Rinzler Edition! For free plat!

Hello everyone!

In the past, we've put together a few contests that allowed players to submit designs for a signature image for all of the mods. So we thought we could bring that contest back and see what y'all come up! :)

I will pick my top 3 choices and they will each get 30 free platinum. This post will also be posted in the SL/PL/DL contest forums.

Here are a few rules:
1. You are allowed to submit 3 graphic images.
2. All entries must be received by 6/6/12 at 7pm PST.
3. Please submit your designs to the main thread.
4. Please refrain from using copyrighted images.
5. Make sure you abide by the forum rules.

You can use the information below for inspiration:
I am Rinzler. I live in sunny southern California! I have a passion for video games, especially RPGs! I am very tech savvy and love everything about computers. I am also very into Japanese Culture and language despite not being a native. My favorite season is winter and I am most active during the evening. I also like water/ice. Oh! I love memes too :D

I tried to make it unique, so at least I hope it looks nice :0 I put a decent amount of thought in this. I wanted a somewhat professional feel, but also have some fun elements too, like a personal logo. I daresay that I'm proud that the design is mine, no copy pasta from the Internet.

It's Japanese and Chinese for water. They're the same.

japanese have characters called kanji, which most are Chinese characters.

Best one so far. What does it look like with just one canvas and the letters closer? I do kind of like the bigger Z that you can get away with by splitting it though, since it's the coolest looking letter in that font pack.

Added a second rendition of the sig with just one panel, different font, and a little more TLC put into it. The first was a really quick one.

not gonna beat around the bush at all - First one is 100% the best of the 3. Here's why.

2nd sig has no focal point. All the parts stand out the same, and you're confused as to where you should look. Universal lighting with background focal attention being the same as the foreground.

3rd sig has lighting (font reflection) without a light source. While the font is definitely cool, it has uniform lighting on half the sig but not on the other. You could throw some kind of light source in the corner and have the reflection kind of fade away as you move down the name. Otherwise it's just an effect.

Not ripping in to you at all, Morf. I already said I think yours is the best by far. Hands down the best actually. I just think your first one is the best of the 3 and you should focus on perfecting that. It's got the cool font, it's got the focal points, and it's original. With a few minor edits and finishing touches it'll be perfect. I don't even have to see the rest of the entries to know that this is a top 3 signature no matter what someone's style and preference may be. I think the fact that you will definitely understand all my critiques I made proves that you deserve recognition as one of the best digital designers on this forum. I love your style and your attention to detail. I think we could collaborate and make an awesome signature for one of these contests.

U sir have a sparkling personality and therefore u need a sig that tells the same.

U sir know how to chill out while still being serious. As u are already cool, u won't need a superydupery fancy sig to become cool. A fancy sig would also be just too much u know. Awesomeness has it's limits.
