Rep Power?

The devs have been updating the forums a little recently. One of the things i noticed was my "rep power" i have no idea what that means O.o do i give 13 rep whenever i thank? whats your rep power? help me figure out what this is ;)

We've updated the forums to the latest version of vBulletin that has some improvements to their built in reputation system. I'm still sorting it out, but in a nutshell, those with a higher reputation power give more rep than those with a lower one. Reputation power is gained as you have more reputation yourself, more posts and more activity on the forums.

It's in part a way to keep people from making new accounts and trying to alter reputation a lot with them. They won't do as much as an established forum account.

Seriously guys give credit where it is deserved, not willy-nilly. The rep system can still be corrupted.

He was just asking what it was all about, don't bite his head off for it. Also, keep down with the rep off the public forums, it was not made to clog the boards, it was made to share our opinions of the rep system over pm's to the devs. Thanks.
