Search around the forums, find a good build and try it. The only way to get better is to play. I used to suck at PVP but learned to get better by watching other players, and gaining an overall knowledge about the way it should be done. You need to know what skills to use, and when. You need to learn how to kite, and when. And most importantly when you have a good chance of winning the battle, or when you should run and let your skills regenerate. Don't blame your gear. Don't blame lag. Don't blame your opponent. The one thing I can say about warbirds, is that they are extremely hard to master. Try something more simple, like a pure dex bird, and work your way around that until you get a good feel for the game.

You need to chose one class. If you don't want to sell your bear's gear, then using a bird is probably not your best option. If you're serious about learning more about birds, you need to get the right setup for them.

Don't get mad, it is bad for your health. It is a game, you may be lagging more than others, or maybe your reflexes or hardware are slower. There are many factors that can make you bad. Just either keep trying and learn from your mistakes, or quit pvp and be happy. Regardless of what people tell you, you can't be good ar everything.

Well the rare occasion you can :P. I've had times where I've been in a fight and just froze. Then 10 seconds later unfreeze and find myself dead. BUT I know you don't mean that, you mean if you die don't just say "OmG Lag dude again! LOL". That's just an excuse when they do it over and over again showing no signs of lag. (not moving or fighting back)

It's not really about build guys...
At endgame, there is so little difference between how all builds are different.
For mage, there is basically nowhere you can go wrong...
It's about playstyle.
I can easily beat birds with a bad build or bad gear.
If you are warbird, then you need to practice a bit more.

The problem is not with warbirds. I killed many crafted mages and birds on my level 60 warbird. I'm sure they weren't that good of pvpers but either way, warbirds can be done. They just take practice.
