I... see if the title is Pocket Legends. If not, its probably just something i download then delete to get free plat

Depends on the app. I mostly download art apps.
I look for videos of art done on the apps before buying, read the features, then download.
I take every precaution since they generally cost me 4.99+ a piece. I also try to find out how much content they hold back from free access and provide via IAP.
For games, I look for gameplay vids online as well. Reviews help too of course.

Seriously though, I first look at the game play pictures, the permissions of the app, game play footage online, and the reviews on the play store and internet.

Depends. If im at mall/park/star bucks/FAsT foood/etc and on google play n boutta download, and i see cute girl i take picture with her, then i download app. Dont wanna lag camera as its installing :D.
I jk i look at pics and video trailer.

Pretty much exactly what I do. I find a thread on the appropriate forums, read a few reviews and previews, then find out what sort of game it is. If it is something I might be interested on, I find the background information and price, and decide that way.
I'm usually browsing the TouchArcade forums where every new iOS game goes.
