Platinum prices

I want to buy platinum but why so expensive for such a small game? Even vanity items (with no stats) have no moral value with labor/effort being put in. I find it very shameful let alone that it contains no stats but a "dress up" popularity. Though that's not the case. The real case is the prices of these platinum prices. If you have an "MMO" running on an APP then why charge people for such a small game? Expand it then it would make more sense. Raise the level cap, or input new ideas for this game to last, but when hit at lv40 what's there to do left?

This is just my opinion how I feel strongly.

The game is free to play, all gear with best stats can be farmed and there are free platinum offers that you can use to buy the most essential things (like inventory slots). And given the time that the last campaign has been there, you could've easily lvled to end cap without buying any enhancers. Furthermore vanity items are just for looks, as you said yourself, so people who spend money to buy them don't get any advantage in therms of stats or gameplay. What more do you want?

Ow, and STS is a business, they need to get their money from somewhere, don't they?

First off, I would like to say I'm really not trying to be a jerk. Now thats been said:

You should see platinum prices in DL, they're even higher. And there is less (and easier content). If you think plat price is too high, don't buy it, wait and maybe one day they will have a sale.

And as far as vanitys:
Vanity items are items in MMO's, mostly trinket (or equivalent type) items which do not affect your stats in any significant way and usually alter the appearance of your character, or perform their own actions such as launching light beams, sparkles, or mists, and it is used to add personality to players characters where normally, everyone would be basically the same appearing. That is the reason and purpose of vanities, most MMO's have them.

Finally, there used to be an update and level cap increase of 5 levels every 3-4 months, adding 5 new maps. It over ran because of the release of Dark Legends. I get this, and I am willing to be a bit more patient for the next update/cap increase. One thing I am wondering on at this point is the gibber (lead dev) statement of a prometheus movie event. The movie was U.S. released yesterday, and nothing on it yet. I hope it happens before the
DVD release! :D
