While they shout selling something in town. We asking for price, they say “offer”, but when we offer a price they got mad lmao. Just name ur so mighty price. If we feel its high or out of our expectation we will just “pass” without even lowballing u lmao.

But if u say like 10m for ur stuff then we offer 3m then u hv the right to be mad like a maddog.

Say ur price like a real man, wht r u scared of? Unless ure a cute pussy cat.

U can say “offer” but dont get mad when someone offers u. Its u who tells them to offer.

The thing is, sometimes People Dont know the Price of the Item or Are paying Good in General. Imagine you want 10m for an Item, But the other person offers 15m. Or sometimes when People Are Selling Merch you have Never heard Off its very dangerous, bc mostly the Items Are Worth 3k But in the End People try To sell for 2m+. Hope was understandable.

Some sellers might be using this "not stating price of item being sold" tactic to try and set a high price for what they are selling since most likely due to having no c/o or auto prices stated, a buyer might offer higher than supposed and the seller would very much enjoy that...

I figured an own way to benefit most from trades with people like this myself (while still being nice).
Always set the first offer to show confidence and to control the conversation. Start high and negotiate prices till you are happy with the outcome. Use time as a benefit and decline fast but easy trades. People who laugh/mock you for an offer or price do not see any possible result yet. Therefore, I respond with a question such as "How much were you looking for?" giving them slightly more control over the conversation. Depending on the answer; I either stop the convo right here or try to meet in the middle. Insults or accuses for price manipulation end in an instant block. These people are simply not worth the time neither deserve to be traded with. While being nice is always important, you don't need to like people you trade with.

Yep theres a lot of merchants with ego's and surprisingly its almost always the rogs for whatever reason. Theres a few in specific that tt in pm's or call people poor ect, when they receive an offer. Theres a couple of mages that do this as well but mostly rogs

People who say "offer" then get mad at you for not knowing the price is exactly the same as someone asking you to guess what number they are thinking of and insulting you if you can't guess.
We aren't magicians with dark magic who can read your mind.
If someone gets mad at you for offering low just reply with "I buy items, I don't read minds."

Its because someone might offer surpass your auto
Isnt that your reason why you don't like to give offer?
Because their auto might be lower than what you planned to offer

If you're interested in a specific item and seller ask you to offer u you should have a ready pocket to drop price you're interested in it right? Ppl says offer couz most of the time (always anyways) if they give decent price let's say desire set 200gl they gave price of 7m some of u bs and drop a 4-5m offer like wtf man so seller will just preferably ask for offer so both of you can negotiate for a happy price for both parties also ppl who say " cOmE tRadE fAst i gtG neEd to loG oFf" should get a life

Well i m one if the ppl who are trying to sell things. Most of the times it goes like this when ppl lowball me and i end up saying “nty” and convo is over. And even if i am stating a high price, I remain flexible so a 50m item can be sold for 46-48 if i still have a profit margin.
But here is the thing, common items prices are known to everyone or you can ask a friend or in guild chat. Like a tox set 30ms isnt worth 4m, its more than that. So if someone still offers me 4m, i have a right to be annoyed by that. Most of the time ppl ask prices in gc and if they say 10m , ppl will offer like 5-6m to start with and want to work the offer up. This tactic always fails.
If you want op stuff, be prep to offer op as well.
Yesterday a guy offered me 24m for Dug bow 12.5% dex . Now i shud be annoyed or not ??
For uncommon items, yes you guys are right.
Again this is just my point of view from the perspective of a seller, i m not negating anyone here as ppl have their own methods to sell or negotiate.
