Is the taunt upgrade in some skills overwritten by damage?

I say this due to my experience in pl with their mechanics, and having asked ppl here in forum

*It seems that the wars taunt abilities are erased when another class does more dps or damage*
Am I wrong?

To begin to restore the wars role they need to be a meat shield whose taunt is law (never overwritten)

No idea what you mean by 'overwritten'. Taunt will put you at the top of the hate list, but someone can still pass you again if they're doing significantly more than you.

ty, that is exactly what i meant by "overwritten"

being that tanks do the least damage taunt seems to never work making the role of tanking less relevant
I'd suggest that once taunt has a mobs attention, the mob shouldn't focus on the damage dealers

just trying to strengthen the wars class
