Issues Purchasing Platinum - Stuck at Connecting to Itunes

Hello. I am having issues purchasing platinum. When I click on the platinum button, it shows "connecting to itunes" and never actually moves beyond this point.

The game itself plays fine but when I return to the purchase platinum screen multiple times throughout a period of play, it is still showing "connecting to itunes".

I have never previously purchased platinum. Please advise.

Couple of questions:
Are you logged into your iTunes account (I believe it has to be the same account that downloaded the app), and do you have in-app purchases enabled (through the settings app)?
Is your device jailbroken?

This generally means either it can't connect to the itunes purchase servers (network or firewall), or you may have a hung background service (reboot your device).

My 3gs is running 4.02 and is NOT jailbroken. It is signed into the itunes app store on device. I do have in app purchases enabled and have made in app purchases numerous times in other apps.

I have tried to reboot numerous times but it does not resolve the issue.

Hrm, not sure what to tell you then - when it's showing the connecting to itunes thing, that means it's still waiting for a response from apple on what product ids are valid and what their prices are.
