View Full Version : How do people get 103 DPS?
I see someone has Attack=133, Defense=101, Health=1082, and DPS=103. How is this possible?
I have all the 21 pinks, and cant find any combination like that. Given 5 item slots (weapon, red gem, purple, blue, yellow), i have the following:
bane, grit, bane, grit, tutelage:
Attack=131
Defense=118
Health=882
Damage=41
DPS=66
grit, grit, grit, grit, bane:
Attack=104
Defense=99
Health=1034
Damage=40
DPS=64
grit, grit, grit, grit, tutelage:
Attack=83
Defense=120
Health=1044
Damage=39
DPS=62
I can do any combination of pink 21 bane/grit/tutelage items, but nothing comes close to the above stats with 103 DPS.
Any idea how this is done?

the passives.
from the looks of it, you dont use them.
at level 20, i have no assault gems/weapons and i have 94 dps.
what's a passive? i looked at all the menus I can find, nothing about "passives".

this is a passive skill.

looking at your stats it looks like you have both the hp passive and the defense passive maxed out, but ignored the attack and damage one.
and the stats you saw the person had, is my guess, 2 pieces of hp gear, 1 attack, 2 defense, while having 2 damage passive, 1 attack passive, and maybe 1 hp passive.
rough numbers of course.

I think the original plat gems added raw damage rather than attack. +21 damage from the passive will also add a ton. +33 total damage to your 40 damage should give you more than 103.

that sounds craaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyy over powered lol
well actually maybe it should be like that. no one stacks attack for pvp, its all defense and hp because attack does like nothing.
and i use nothing as a loose term.

Ya, they stopped giving them out, but people who upgraded to a premium character in the first few days still have them. It's like +3 damage per gem and a tiny amount other stats.

stilll i wish i was there for that lol. it takes 54 attack to get 3 damage so like each gem is worth 2 attack gems geeeeezzzz
I asked people in the game how they got 100+ DPS, but everyone ignored me, except one guy that said "go figure it out yourself", and another guy that said "lol, your 21, you should know already". I guess vampires are not very friendly.
Anyway, I think I figured it out. I didn't notice the passive icons on the bottom of the Lair/Powers page. I see I can put +21 into damage, and 150 into health, which would bring me to:
#1 - grit, grit, grit, grit, tutelage:
Attack=83
Defense=120
Health=1194
Damage=60
DPS=95
#2 - bane, bane, bane, bane, bane
Attack=200
Defense=95
Health=860
Damage=66
DPS=106
#3 - bane, grit, grit, bane, tutelage
Attack=131
Defense=118
Health=1032
Damage=62
DPS=100
#4 - tutelage, grit, grit, bane, tutelage
Attack=110
Defense=139
Health=1043
Damage=61
DPS=98
I suppose I like the last one (#4) or the first one, but now I have to respec, and i don't have any plat. Do plat purchased weapons have better stats? Or, are you just paying for the sparkles?

What gems are we talking about? I still kept everything from the early days.

You're forgetting the Eclipse necklace and the attack passive?

Probably not the best build for pvp but will answer your question:
Firebrand
Robust blood gem
Vigorous shadow gem
Ecliptic moon gem
Vigorous beast gem
Blood shield 1
Vampiric strength 2
Vampiriv vitality 1
Will give:
A: 133
D: 116
H: 1052
DMG: 63
DPS: 103
Cheers.

Doesn't the Eclipse necklace cost about 500p ($30) on average? ...mathematically base on gambling price. What are the stats? is it worth $30?
The attack passive doesn't seem so useful. If i put on attack equipment, I don't gain any noticeable benefit.
Anyway, I finally bought plat (135/$12) and did a respec. I wish respec's were cheap like in PL, so I can experiment. But they are 8p, and respec did not get a price reduction in the recent update. So, it's $1 every time I respec.
The health and damage passives are a huge improvement. There were a few bosses that I needed a buff to solo, but now I can solo them.
