Humania competition winner weapons ?

I've just been wondering about the competiton weapons .

Yes the Humania weapons and gear now look nice , but they don't look similar in any way with the Humania competition weapons
I actually thought they would be added.
So , was the competiton just for fun or was there a serious reason behind it ?
