You need to press the sleep button at the top of the iPhone and the home button at the same time.

Also want to add that this works everywhere, its a built in feature in the os.

The screen will go white and you hear a click, and the screen shot will be saved to your photos under camera roll.

I always took pictures on my iPhone on mistake, of random stuff. Then I finally figures out how to do that :D
