The Sisters of Truth & the Sisters of Penitence are two allied female avatar-only guilds. These sororities are each run by a guild mistress: Penthesilea for Truth, Thecla for Penitence.
Whilst these guilds are only open to female avatars, there is no restriction on the gender of players (and of course, how would you check...?). We work on the principle that as game players are also not actually vampires in real life (hopefully) then it is their avatar & its behaviour only that matters to us. The guilds hope to foster a loving, supportive & friendly atmosphere for all their members, and neither are we afraid to have fun! We regulary use our respective guild halls for guild meetings and more informal social occasions.
Penitence is the older and larger organisation, with a circle of 13 officers assisting the mistress, and a more formal & archaic tone. Truth, the younger & more informal sorority, is still growing and the officer circle will eventually grow to 13 as the guild grows, giving more scope now for promotion of new members. Advancement in either guild is by attitude, involvement & maturity. A lack of these attributes, or disrepectful behaviour to the other sisters, is dealt with appropriately. Please be aware we deal with adult-orientated themes and ethics, so ask members consider this carefully before joining.
