Feedback: Guild Message of the Day

Some players have asked that the guild motd be longer. The length of this is currently 80 characters. Doubled, there's enough room where the message is displayed if I shrink the font. Otherwise, it'll have to be something that is clipped to two lines, but then you'd need to tap on it to view the longer message. Also, editing the message would remain the same (that one text line).

Would doubling it be enough? What are some use cases for motd where the text would need to be longer?

If the result is the same whether it's shrunk or clipped lines then IMO at least think the slightly smaller font for longer messages would be more ideal.

Also would it be possible to have a notification that guild event is active a bit like when a guild battle ground is active just so it can draw more attention as there are times guildies dont even realize there is a event on

Making the font smaller is a good option to enlarge the motd, a good option to add along this motd change would be adding a guild furniture similar to the leaderboard that can be used by gm and officers to edit certain messages and viewed by guildies.

This way motd could be used to give a brief amount of info and lead guildies to check this board for wider information, etc.

Note this idea has been suggested b4, idk if it's alrdy on the list for things to add or got forgotten over the time.

A popup on the screen in a brown box white text. When you log on it will pop up on your screen and you have an option to "Do not show until new motd is posted." And "Do not show again today." Saying /motd will bring the popup back up. To avoid motd screen spam make it where the motd will not pop up more than 1 time a day in settings or an option to disable motd popup.

Such an OP idea to have a board in GH players could go up to and see MOTD or even previous ones.

To add to this even to be able to show what the MOTD actually is the guild logs rather than just stating it was updated/changed would also be move in the right direction

Hi im the gm of Insane asylem :) i use the motd to display guild requirements and other messages like guild events and i run out of room trying to fit both :) i would like to see it doubled , that would be plenty
