Sounds like conjecture to me.
Although.....I have noticed on my alt that pink drop rates in lower level maps seem much higher now than they did way back when my main did 'em, but maybe it's just my imagination. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Nuri rates have been bumped now that it's a bit older.
